Hi There. does anyone have any experience in dealing with red chilli ??? im very intersted in the sissy cage. i would like to hear about other peoples experiences regarding communication, measuring, fitting and turn around ti,es customer support etc. Thanks in advance Dianna X
I ordered one from them, Aken is super friendly and replied immediately. Currently about two months wait time, I expect mine to be shipped around end of next week. If my measurements were right I can tell you once I got it.
Has anyone heard from them lately? I ordered in November, it said 6-8 weeks time, before Christmas Aken said two more weeks, now it is almost 10 weeks and I don't get any reply on my mails asking if there is an estimate when it will ship.....
I got mine after a wait. Phil was very responsive throughout. The dimensions were wrong when it came (user error)... But I have been unable to raise either Phil or Aken since receipt. Makes me hesitant to place any future orders. Quality of build is great though!
Hmm this doesnt inspire confidence ! i heard that they moved premises so production had been delayed not sure how true this is ??
I placed an order a few days ago and have not heard anything yet. The website still says an eight week turn around.
My experience is that Red Chili do orders in turn. If they're busy, then they don't waste time with updates to those waiting but just get on with the work in sequence. That can be frustrating, but it does mean less wasted time and it's quicker in the long run. When they do get to your device, then they can't be faulted, good communication once they start on your device and a superb product at the end. So, be patient, they are worth the waiting for your turn.
Received an email from Aken today. Expected delivery in 8-9 weeks. They are not accepting any new orders in the month of March.
How are they for adjustments (ie) adjust a gap etc, any idea on additional cost as I cannot see an answer on their site.
Not had that pleasure as my device was good for dimensions. They entered into a good email dialogue before starting, and wanted to be happy that the details were as I wanted them. From that experience, I'm sure they'll be happy to accommodate adjustments. You could allways ask when ordering what likely costs would be for adjustments, or to do multiple rings of different sizes for a cage, or simply say if you're not sure of any particular dimension, they'll help you in getting it right. As far as cost goes (and this would apply to any custom manufacturer) do be aware that it's much more work to make adjustments to a device, as building it has an optimal sequence of operations, but dismantling parts and returning the device to a presentable state isn't so easy. I can only emphasise it's really important when ordering a custom device that you're sure of the dimensions you need. It's better to get it right first time!
From what I've heard of other people's past experiences with these guys I would be loathe to use them. France is just next door to me and I would have been very happy to go there and discuss at length what was to be made and then try it on like a fitting once or more if needed. Just as the Latowski people do. They were not interested in that .. a flat No was the reply to that suggestion I find their online ordering system a little vague. I'm not sure of all their terminology and would like to see the thing being built virtually as I made changes to give a better idea of what I was ordering There is also a lack of pictures including all their variants... which is never encouraging. Those are the reasons I have not bought from them. I hope this helps you inform your decision.
I've ordered mine around Xmas and received the cage last week. I am quite happy so far but I am still getting to it (especially during the night!)
I agree the photos are very 1 dimensional and don't show their work very well. They do need more video product media with less of the mistress thing going on or a video measuring guide but that means a more costly website to host such video. As for the language I guess it's broken typed English from french etc. Still they have some fantastic work that's affordable and based in Europe.
I tend to believe that just because someone is a good craftsman, doesn't necessarily mean they are a good at running a business. In any small business where you are essentially selling your time, in this case fabricating chastity devices, there's a fine line between selling and crafting. For all we know these folks might be working out of basement, garage or rented shop and there simply aren't facilities to meet with customers. I might harbor a guess that the cost of creating a "showroom" and having a means of staffing that showroom simply isn't economically feasible. The other possibility is that it's just a straight guy or two, maybe a wife and they really don't have much interest in measuring your genitals.
If that was directed towards me then I assure you I had not intended to let some guy I don't even know anywhere near my genitals.
Have you received your new device from Red Chili? We like their designs very much. My girlfriend wants to help get me an Ibicella Cage, and a PA piercing, for our one year dating anniversary. I tried emailing them a couple of days ago, but have not heard back yet.
I believe Red Chili work on a "first in, first out" basis, so emails tend to have to wait until they can start on your device. It does make sense as continual interruptions in a small firm only have the effect of extending the waiting time for every customer. Have a little patience with them in this regard because once you get to the top of the queue they are very good communicators. No connection, just a happy customer.

Its over year since I made the post you are referring to. you'd think things would have improved since then .....from your comment it seems not pity really really as some of their stuff was aeasthetically pleasing and by all accounts of decent quality
Received my Red Chilli Sissy Cage a few months ago. Zero complaints. Aesthetically perfect, sizing was spot on, and definitely the most comfortable cage I have owned. Ms. A started slow, but routinely keeps me locked up 2-3 weeks between breaks now. Basically, this one has allowed her to keep me locked full time unless she desires PIV.
