A well respected member pointed out the other day that I, perhaps, don't really get the "full measure of this site."

    :)

I'm very curious to understand, and would welcome others' perspectives.

    What did She mean?

    With great respect and affection,
    - Sig

I wouldn't be able to comment on what she might have meant I think only she could do that (if you didn't understand perhaps you should ask in pm for clarification), but I can share my thoughts on 'the measure of the site.'

My understanding of CM is that it is predominantly a UK minded site (certainly many if not all of it's mods are UK based - and the site too I believe), but with a more or less global user group.

Part of that is that there is a particularly left of centre UK flavour to things. Generally we are supportive of each other, encouraging, interested in other people and their different ways of being, and accepting of difference.

What we don't seem to be (or want to be) is challenging, confrontational, or to point the finger and tell people that they're 'doing it wrong.'

There seems to be a huge amount of petty point scoring that happens in some places, that doesn't happen here, and long may it continue to be that way.

What can one say @Sig Wyrminorb ? The observation does seem somewhat cryptic and maybe coded?

You seem to have taken to the site nicely in the last few weeks, making posts and from what you say chatting with people, and having a sense of humour. This is vital on such a site of course.

Looking at your profile, it is a bit thin on the About Me section, but that is your prerogative. You have no albums of photos but that may not be your bag. Some folk like to cruise the photos and make no posts or other contribution, but maybe that is of no interest to you.

A member making posts and chatting is certainly the sort of member we should encourage :)

    Virginia, USA here
And yes, the Owner of the site is in the UK

Many moons ago we used to have a flag we could choose to put on our profiles for whatever country you were in, and it would show under your picture here when you posted something. Not sure if we could get those back but I'll ask. It was a nice feature especially for Me because I like to know where anyone I am chatting with is from. A lot of you I know ;)

Yes indeed @Mistress Michelle the site has been through quite a number of changes and improvements over the years for those of us who are long time members. Some features you miss and others not so much.

thank you @Mistress Michelle, @maid_carrie, and @SubVerity for your responses.

I'm not exactly sure what She meant, so that's why I asked the question. I admit to being somewhat baffled, but, a Miss is always entitled to leave us confused and wanting more <3

Sig of course everyone's going to be baffled if you write things like that out of context.
    What else can you expect?

This question could be asked for any site you visit on the interweb. It's what do you get from the site and what do you contribute to the site? It's up to each individual to reach that consensus. Some sites sell things, some sites are knowledge based and some site are hateful and some sites are just bulls**t. It's all up to users as to what they are looking for. I hope I didn't upset anyone, it's just the way I see it.

Rest assured xcitedsissy, I hardly think it likely that anyone could get upset about or make bold statements with reference to, something which has no context.
    That would be rather silly.

Thank You for your comments, Miss @Mascara^Snake .. I asked because i was somewhat baffled as to what She might mean.

Here's what went through my head..

    1. Get over it, nothing is true
    2. Most of the serious members here are more willing to be forthcoming than you have.. you worm.
    3. Profit.

I got lost between #2 and #3 somewhere.

I wouldn't worry. AS long as you enjoy partaking in the site. Other peoples' opinions are just that, opinions. Including this even, which is my opinion. Feel free to discount this opinion as I have already argued for. But bear in mind if you discount this opinion, you end up in fact agreeing with it and therefore this may be the only opinion you can never discount.

I think my head has just exploded.

I do hope you are not serious about 2. If you are then it is not a glowing self reference.
With regards to 3. Was it one of the con artist Dommes by any chance? If so then the normal course of action is to name and shame, rather than to do this smoke and mirrors obfuscation. I'm in agreement with Mascara Snake here, without context your OP is virtually pointless.

Thanks for the frank comments. @SubVerity you are so serious. I am probably a hopeless cause, but it's sweet of you to try to correct my errors.

The profit bit was a South Park reference LOL.

Love you people. Have a great day, all of you.

I can be as light as a feather or as serious as cancer, depending on circumstance. You seemed to be asking a fairly serious question, though should we make a note that in general you are not serious?

I only ask as it;s difficult to know how to take someone when they're writing and you can't see their face. I tend to do my best to take this into account when I write here and make it completely obvious.

Southpark memes are not ones that are globally recognised to thanks for the reference.
Now, you starter for 10 points, "serious as cancer" is a musical quote, from where?

This topic is useless to try to understand.

Especially if a Female said it, which i doubt. There is NO understanding Them. Scientist and scholars for centuries have tried to understand the Female mind and have failed.

May I ask @Sig Wyrminorb and every one else who should know, exactly why is this thread in the foyer?

I am moving it immediately and please lets all remember that the Foyer is for introductions.
NOT for established members to start threads.

    And cheers to all.

Thank you all for your responses.. and the kind and patient Miss who once again indulged my naivete.

I'm now quite confident that the mansion is full of the array of varied, kinky, interesting, creative, and sometimes wonderfully zany folks I've encountered.. and that, unless this secret door leads somewhere.... *click* :spank:

I am sincerely sorry if i violated any confidence of the Miss who Mused these postings. Certainly, i was wrong to be so passive aggressive and i do recognize this and have been instructed. I will never voice in public forum any matter that arises in private chat without prior consent.

    Thank you Miss. :(

Miss @Mascara^Snake , yes ma'am. Comfortably confused, rampantly sexual, and properly chastened.

Give up on the serious as cancer quote then?

Some people might think it was from one of the worst songs ever: (If you want a good belly laugh then do find it and have a listen)
    1. Rhythm Is a Dancer - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
      en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rhythm_Is_a_Dancer
... contains what one critic called the worst lyric of all time, with its line "I'm as serious as cancer when I say rhythm is a dancer".
But actually it's from JVC Force's - Strong Island.
The lyrics may be the usual bragadocio, but the track is pure hotness.
