@Mascara^Snake... for the peace of mind of the readers who are not British, it might be good to remind the free world that in the uk, "Fag" means cigarette and is actually not a homophobic slur. :p

I now return to your regular posts, please read on. ;)

Thank you for clearing that up. Those of us "across the pond" have have a totally different conotation or that repulsive remark. Very surprised a moderator would make a remark that it so insensitive to many on CM.

Now now, lets not all get all wordist on each other.

In the UK, a cigarette is very well known as a fag, and the word is in common usage to mean the same. In fact it is only in the US that a fag is a homosexual. I was most bemused when in a bike shop in the US I saw fanny-packs being sold with those very words. In the UK you should know that the word fanny refers to an orifice, but it isn't the one at the back, and it's only used for that of the female variety.

Another word often confused is the word bum. In the UK it is mainly used as a cute word for what you in teh US call a fanny, or to refer to the homeless, or in replacement of the verb 'to borrow'.

So, while in the uK asking someone if you can bum a fag is merely asking for a cigarette, over in the new country where you so erroneously call what you speak English, it might mean something else entirely.

So - no lambasting each other for quite innocent terms of phrase, please. We're more mature than that aren't we?

Wordist! I do like that one LOL. o_O

This was all in good fun really.

Canada for the record is in the middle of Yank to Brit, leaning towards British English.
If only I could get my fellow countrymen to spell "Tyre" correctly...sigh...:D

But if in future a translator is needed I may be able to help.:):):):)

    See? FUN !

Cheers (is half way to Cheerio)

@BKNYC I think there will be some confusion if you continue to call your wife Mistress B. Can't you change it slightly, theres a sweetie.

    My great-grandma's name was Fanny.

My wife and I call the Queen's Keep I wear simply "chastity." As in, he is in chastity. Or, when will I get out of chastity?

Chastity as a name is really interesting. As in "go get Chastity, it's time to put her on." I like that a lot

What about "faith"...or "hope";as in 'faith, hope and chastity'.I see lots of scope for tease-talk with these.

When I wore plastic it was called "your thing", then when I migrated to metal, "thing" was promoted to "cage" :)
