I have Chinese A080 device. My problem is that the base ring is to big. Doe's anyone know how to modify a Stainless Steel ring to make smaller. This device would be great if the ring was sized correctly. I checked with the seller and a ring of the right size was not available. :(
FYI I want to make a ring of 45 into 41.3 (1.75" to 1.625" for those in US)
    Is it even possible?

I bought a set of new rings off a well known auction site, 40,45 and 50mm, cost around £10 I think.
    Hard to alter yourself.

    Hey there!

Could only think of two ways...

    Cut it and re-weld....
Put it in a vice and squeeze it down to become an oval ring. Given the base ring has a prong-type head, I'd cautiously say you may well need two vices - one on each side of the ring - to make this work successfully...

Other than than, there are plenty of sellers on DHgate who sell the spare rings.

Easiest thing would be to get one from them!

    With the absolute kindest regards.

    J.

you could build it up with layers of silicon self fusing tape.

one layer at a time to get the perfect size, then as others have said buy the correct size ring. but measure the modded ring to order the right size first time

If it was a hinged ring you could put a piece of silicon tubing over it. I can't think of any way to make a 1-piece ring comfortable long term, except for welding.

I have the same device and you can buy Spare rings in a few sizes on DHgate and on Ebay.

I also have a similar problem as my left ball is smaller than the right and can escape quite easy but the ring is as small as i can go.
Now ive put silicone tube over the left side of the ring yet i still can escape so their is not much i can do and a custom cage device aint gonna happen.

Silicon tubing around the complete ring will make it more comfortable and make it a few mm smaller as well.
I wear my device 24x7 and could not do it without the tubing.

If you don't like the feel of the silicone tubing then cover it with heat shrink tubing which opens up the door to many things to fill the space
