What's this type of dress called?

Hello everyone,

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this question so apologies for that and the rather dense nature of my question. I'm really not very familiar with clothing terms, or rather, the names for styles.

I recently came across a photo (featuring the musician Miss FD) of an outfit that I've fallen in love with and was wondering if anyone could let me know if there is a name for the dress she is wearing (both style and material)

I'm assuming it's a dress, unless anyone thinks it's a skirt with a different top, I guess the corset makes it hard to tell. If I can find a similar type of outfit to this, it's something I might wear to one of the fet clubs in my area (there are only two outfits I've dressed up to clubs. One is a short stretch canvas dress, the other is a leather effect mini skirt combined with an overbust corset and satin gloves)



Any input will be greatly appreciated

 

@Mascara^Snake Thanks for the input. Looking at line pleated skirts and tutu's as a starting point. The corset material and style looks to be almost the same as my main underbust corset (a simple design from corsets UK, although I think they've rebranded as corset story UK) so that part is sorted.

@tiemeupalso I certainly agree with your point about the dress, it's a great look (I'm hoping I can recreate something similar)

Well, anyway, shanks for the input everyone. You've certainly helped with my lack of knowledge.

I've done a little browsing and think I may have identified a few suitable choices.

I think this dress looks similar: Dress1
Or, might be able to combine this one: Dress2 with a similar looking tutu.

I think I should be able to wear either of those options with my corset (link included for reference) as it's a simple underbust.

Does that sound like it could work?
