With issues regarding my health, my gender dysphoria and my family situation (that i don't see a way out of) and my religion, I believe I am seriously having a nervous breakdown...... I don't know what to do...

Take a deep breath! Relax! If needed go see a therapist, if nothing else it would be a ear for you to unload !

Without a doubt good advice to calm down and give yourself time to think.

You do need to seek local professional help ,out side your religious beliefs so as you can get some perspective on possible ways forward.

For some communities GD is not the most understood condition and thus you will need support on how to come to terms with helping people understand all the how's and whys and how you are going to organise your life around it.

With several people on CM who have gd you are amongst friends who can offer advice.

For FYI I just recently got back from my primary doctor (he worked me in very fast so I can see him today) who prescribed me an anti-depressant 'Lexapro' that I start in the morning...

    Hiya

Good of him to see you so quickly.

Has he referred you to see a psychiatrists as you need to start talking to someone .

Never been convinced that pills are a good way forward as many seem to create problems in the future with dependency the most obvious.

However it's good that you have got started on getting the help you need.

I may not be able to help much with a nervous break down, but if you need someone to talk to about GD I'll gladly speak to you. I've been feeling quite a bit of it myself lately. While simple conversation is all I can offer you I do hope you get everything sorted out and feel better soon.

If you have never taken anti depressants before I would make sure someone close to you knows so they can keep an eye on you.
You can get some side affects until you get used to them so hopefully your doctor has warned you.
I don't take them however my wife takes Lexapro.

    Dianne.
