    Je suis Charlie

I stopped coming here as an active member about 9 months ago. The decision was partly due to changes in personal circumstances and largely because I was tired of the constant flame wars generated by a clique who's leader's behaviour was like that of the wanna be head girl who encourages others to do the dirty work and then behaves all innocent or disappears from the scene like MaCavity when the runny brown stuff hits the revolving blades.

Since then I have periodically kept up with goings on in Chastity Mansion and frankly it's been a train wreck.

The censorship of editing and deleting posts was predicted when it was known who the new moderators were going to be. I believe these predictions were dismissed as "sour grapes". Yet now the chickens have come home to roost.

What's set me off to the point of coming back in to post is the deletion of the thread that was supposedly closed by admin with a post stating (yet again) that Mansion policy is to never delete a post or thread except in exceptional circumstances. Arrogance, chutzpah or pure comedy.

You can have free speech so long as I'm not offended seems to be rule. Does that remind people of anything significant that happened recently ? Look at the post title if your memory needs jogging.

The only people who can have a right to delete or censor are the site owners, it's their site and everyone else uses it for free, barring the odd donation.

I know it's only a trivial website for a specialist interest, but censorship and re-writing history 'for the common good' in any form is how totalitarian states initially start with a groundswell of support from 'the people'. So any of you who approve of this censorship because you think you or someone else will be offended, please check your motives again.

Chastity Mansion has been a battle zone for the last year or more. Bullying, hounding people out, censorship and simply becoming a place where it's not worth hanging out.

I doubt I'll hang around to reply to any responses. On the other hand it's likely this will be deleted before any responses can be made.

Take care of yourselves, CM now has a very bad reputation.

If you are going to leave then go. No one is making you stay.

    Great - just great!
If that is to be the attitude whenever someone brings concern forward, You will must likely end up being very much alone in here...
    Have fun!

The fact is that concern is fairly often raised by the ones who really cares about this place.
Maybe the ones that don't - should leave - if we are to go by your logic @scob89 ?;-)

That is a great piece of advice. If you are being bullied just leave.

The view that CM should or could stay as is was 5 years ago is a nice idea except lots of older members got board or for other reasons stopped posting.
CM did not get a bad reputation how did it do that ?
By the nature of social media which CM is a tiny neich part , evolves day by day as the membership changes.

So harking back to some suposidly good old days is pure rose tinted memory.

The mods were changed as is the prerogative of the owner . I have had absolutely no problem with that. So some have different ways of doing stuff.
For the most part lots of stuff on CM is pure fantasy from the profiles to the posts . You take every thing with a pinch or shovel of salt.
The only stuff are the bits that are a bit more serious are the issues posted around Gender Dysphoria which can have big implications.

Life moves on now new active members are trying to look after the place and keep things in order

The deep profound vitriolic attacks on members were in a completely different league to the deletion of the odd post .
Now in the real world in the UK it is a well defined criminal offence. If you wish to try to defend those actions please do .
However how much of CM would be left if admin had to post that CM was under investigation by the cyber crime unit and they were going through every post and every email address on the server.

How much would be left ???? Nothing .

So please let's move on and stop dragging up what is beginning to get a very tiresome subject.

From what I have seen mods on here are way to free with posting about their own personal differences . Which are ,from the general members point of view juvenile personal problems .

In some ways yes if you don't like it leave , because you are as guilty of the same charges as you level against others .
Why do some try to justify they are right and thus this or that person should do this or that but the same rules do not apply to them . You should look up hypocrisy .

    Regards Wendy
