    Hi,

    Just came across this ksafe project on kickstarter. Goal-based locking safe - looks like it would be an excellent tool for those practicing chastity. Date based goal set from your smartphone. No overrides.

    Just pledged money to get one early, $79... check it out and pledge to help the product get to market. From the product page:

    @sig,this is something completely different that the makers of the kitchen safe are trying to raise money for to study its feasibility and build a prototype.

    I bought one of those kitchen safes, but the interface was poor IMO. Have to spin the wheel about 100 times to get to 5 days (which you have to calculate in hours yourself... no way my KH could be bothered). Selecting a release date via cellphone app... calendar based or goal based. Different story...

    Personally, I thought the spinning the wheel and hearing all those clicks add to the anticipation of a long lockup! :)
    But the new app is a big improvement. So is the increased lock period.

    kSafe is a perfect name for the upgraded device, don't you think? ;)

    Not sure what you mean by the days, I just got my kitchen safe today and it tells you days, hours, minutes, seconds. Plus the wheel turning doesn't seem all that bad. I currently locked in my muzzle, 3 hours to go!

    The new KSafe is different. It not only controls time but can integrate with your fit bit and gps. Let's say a keyholder wants you to walk 10,000 steps everyday for a week. Well if you do then it unlocks, if you don't then you start over at day 1. The gps app makes you check in at the gym 3 days in a row, etc. The new KSafe is different and not out yet. They are funding it on kickstarter, I already preordered one.

    Can this be operated remotely over the internet or is the app just using the smart phone like a remote controller and needs to be in the same room to operate the Ksafe?

    Check out their new stretch goals. The final one is a "friend" to unlock it. It appears to be Bluetooth. Perhaps the unlock code would be given to your via the internet, and then broadcasted by your phone via Bluetooh.

    this new one is scary, I ordered the old type for her birthday but when this new one comes ...I am sure its going to be a must have...
    If it had a daily breathalyzer my fate would be sealed..lol

    Unfortunately the Kickstarter campaign was cancelled in May.
