    A site I visit occasionally (SMTR) has "Verified Man" and "Verified Woman" forums, that you have to speak to the forum owner/moderators to access.
    I thought this was an excellent way to weed out fantasists of various sorts. It may however also weed out the nervous or understandably cautious. Perhaps there could be a rule in a 'keyholders" or "women's" room that a moderator could require verification if there were concerns expressed about whether someone was misrepresenting themselves?
