In the past I learned a bit of lockpicking (long before I became chaste). I'm really not skilled at lockpicking, but even I am able to pick these small 3-pin locks (sold with most cages) within 5 seconds or so. In general I'm somewhat surprised that everybody into chastity seems to believe in the security of the locks The thing is, I don't pick the lock of my cage (far too devoted to KH for this ), but I feel knowing I can open it at any time significantly reduces the thrill of the cage.. Are cages with these small cylindrical locks any better? I can hardly imagine, manufacturers are smart enough to not show the full keys, so I can't tell.. Are there other solutions than locks? Anybody has experience with single-use seals? PA is not an option for now, sorry
My cage uses one of these… Abus 65/15 I’m not picking that in a hurry and it also faces away from me. Also, after it’s been on for a few weeks, the key becomes really quite stiff - no way any little lockpicking tools are going to tease that barrel round!
The 6mm cylindrical locks, as in the Burg Wachter furniture lock blockers, are very easy to pick. I have done a couple of things to mine to make it much more difficult. See this post:
Good ideas! This might add just enough friction for me, though I don't have a cage with these locks. And thanks for pointing me to that other thread, I searched but didn't find it. My takeaway from that thread is to try nailpolish as a seal on the lock Nice, I saw this one but feared it may be too bulky. Will try it soonish
A funny side note. I wanted to look up the “Burg Wachter” lock reference above, and as one might expect, it popped right up on Amazon. But here’s the funny part. You know how Amazon shows what other people viewed after viewing something? Well, for the lock listing that came up first, the other two “also viewed” items were a) a similar lock in a different size, and b) “men’s sissy vagina panties”. Not furniture polish or cabinetry tools; vagina panties!
There are a great many places selling those locks. I can't imagine there is a huge demand to block keyholes in furniture so I expect most of them are sold for use in chastity devices.
If there's one thing I've learned from watching LockPickingLawyer on Youtube, it's that there are no totally secure locks, especially small ones. There are mechanisms to make a lock seize up when someone tries to pick it, though I'm not sure they'd fit in those tiny locks (e.g. ). But for chastity you might also be fine with a mechanism which detects intrusion without preventing it. Single-use seals are one of them. One issue with them can be that the construction of many cages depends on the haft of the lock holding the parts in place, which the seal doesn't do. How important that is will depend a lot on the construction of your particular cage. It's too bad, since intrusion detection isn't as hot as just not being able to open it. But of course, even with a truly secure lock, you could cut or drill it. Getting all the way to "impenetrable without damaging yourself" would require quite a lot of coverage and hardware.
