my go-to cage is a holy trainer. but i've not tried too many others.

 

For me, the Vice Mini with anti-pullout. Short, prevents erections. Keeps me from slippling out. Easy to clean with Q-tips and squirt bottle or shower wand.

I use Chamois Butt'r under the ring at the base of the scrotum.

 

You might give the Kink-3D cages a look. The one I've been wearing for the past year and a half is their Cobra N.

 

For long term wear I still prefer the metal cage. I too had the "slide down" issue, but I purchased several elastic "belts" designed for chastity cages and they work like a charm! Easy to take off when showering and they are washable. I don't even know they are there and they keep everything in place.

 

I had luck with the Holy Trainer all versions. Now I switched to The Vice Micro as it uses an externa, padlock so that I can always cut it off if it does not unlock. I have had two problems with the Cabinet locks on many devices. With showering and wearing it a lot those cheap locks they give you just stop working every so often and it is a bitch to get out of any device with a cabinet lock. You can buy the German brand which is a more reliable cabinet lock but for me I will always prefer an external lock by Abus. Been wearing this lock for many years on and off with no problems. I add some oil lube to it after every shower and never had one fail on me in 13 years.

If you are small like me take a look at The Vice Micro or Clitty since they do not use the painful anti pullout spikes. My thinking is that if you are going to cheat on chastity, you are not in chastity. Everyone who really is locked in chastity knows how easy it is to orgasm in any device. Stick a swab in it and jerk off. Hold a vibrator against it and you will cum. Move the cage back and forth until you cum. Pulling out is not necessary to cum and just makes it more uncomfortable wear and that translates into giving up on chastity.

I will say that the Vice Micro is extremely comfortable for me. They give you 5 size rings and spacers. I use the flat spacer and the tip of my cock just barely touches the end of the cage most times. Extremely comfortable and lightweight. Well worth the money if you are doing this long term. Kink3D ended up being my go to.

 

I had an Evotion Orion. Superb device. It consists of three pieces (base ring, shaft tube, glans cap) with two locks. You have to pull your glans through the shaft tube which is quite tight where it sits on the coronal sulcus (yes I just looked that term up), then you put the glans cap (front part) on and lock it. That means if you pull out you can't, yes, can NOT, get your dick back in without unlocking the front lock. The penis is too squishy to get pushed through the narrow bit, it has to be pulled and for that the front part has to be unlocked.

Super secure! You can't pull out without your keyholder knowing.

Unfortunately not for me. My skin is very sensitive and the shaft tube doesn't have enough holes and airflow for me. So my skin was always a bit moist (from shower water or sweat) and became painful, eventually peeling a bit. So I gave up and went with a very open design metal cage.

 

What prompted you to switch from the Evotion?

 

It was my first custom size device. Before that I had a Holytrainer I think and then a CustomChastity Ghost (but despite the name I just bought a standard size). Both of them not too great - no real security, no good hygiene, didn't fit, hung down, and so on.

Sorry I just realized I misread your question, you're asking why I switched FROM the Orion. Well as mentioned, it just didn't allow enough airflow to the shaft. So I had red, itchy skin all along the shaft after wearing it for like 2 weeks. After removing the device, the skin peeled off like after a sunburn. Imagine trench foot but on your penis. Because the device didn't allow it to be dry - maybe it would have worked better with a wider shaft diameter, that may very well be the case! But I didn't want to spend more money on it.

Another related reason was that when you took it off it just smelled very funky. And having to go wash yourself before sex or any other activity is just not very sexy. (To be fair, I had the same experience with the other plastic devices like the HT or the CC Ghost.)

Now I'm in a very open metal cage (MCN Contender) and have no problems with smell or cleaning or keeping a healthy skin.

I wish there was a plastic device that just consists of a few bars! Maybe the Cherrykeeper? Or the Kink3d? I don't know...

 

Thanks! Based on your description and what I could gather from the limited photos on the Evotion website, that makes sense! I'm using a Vice Mini and there is adequate space for cleaning and airflow, but not too much open access to allow external stimulation that can amount to anything. It sounds like the Orion depends on a tight fit for the anti-pullout capability to function without a piercing.

 

That being said the Orion is a custom 3D printed device. So you could probably go for a wide diameter for the shaft part and just ask them to make the end (where it sits on the glans sulcus) quite tight. Then you essentially have the same security as those devices with a glans ring (that only exist in metal versions, not plastic).

 

Like others, I’ve been on a rather lengthy quest for the best lightweight cage that fit snugly and provided for breathability. I have sensitive skin, so I need to be able to get air and keep things clean, and some devices like the Holy Trainer are too enclosed. I also tried a Cobra, but it had an odd mix of openings and surface area for me, and I felt like I was at risk of ongoing irritation at best, infection or an edema at worst. So I gave up on that one too.
Recently I’ve gone into a Cherry Keeper short, and it seems to be just the ticket. It’s snug but not constricting, with a great balance between minimalist coverage but still firm control. I will be wearing this one as my daily cage for the foreseeable future.

 

Hello, I'm looking to confirm the lock type on these devices. The response from customchastity.com has been almost nonexistent. Could any owners of these devices confirm the lock is larger than the typical cylinder lock?
