i bought one of those fake ht 5 of amazon VeagleFly is the brand, it feels really uncomfortable- like my balls are being squeezed which makes it difficult to sit. i have had loads of cages, most of which i can slip out of now so went for an small one. the lock beingbuilt in appeals to me

i think its how its designed rather than it being fake? are these carbon copys of the original- should i buy the original or will i have the same issues?

I have never had an original but quite a few of the copies, the copies vary in quality but most have been fine. The price of the original is pretty OTT in my view when companies can knock them out for less than $10 they are charging 17x the price. Its probably worth going somewhere down the middle and getting a clone from a reputable company where you are based. Eg if you are in the UK: https://www.houseofdenial.com/collections/holy-trainer

That one in your photo looks like the ball gap is tiny, even with the difference in photo angle it doesnt look right compared to the HOD one:

Your problem is probably the because of the ring thickness, You may need a bigger ring. I have tried both real and copy of HT and the ring thickness is my primary issue with them. Also, one of the main difference is the material and finish. The HT is much better

Thats a good point, I find with the smaller HT's I have to go up a ring size
