If it does start to rust at all then it's chrome plate and tell them as they are meant to be stainless steel.     It'll be OK or it won't: if it's a cheap imitation and won't last then at least it'll have tided you over whilr you get something stainless and quality.

    Guess all you can do is wait and see....

    We bought a metal cage from ebay for £19.00 and it has lasted two years and is still fine. I had a CB6000 and got fed up with parts breaking, for its price i do not think its worth the money.

    Depends what you're now ordering as next device. But usually: length and circumference/diameter of the shaft (soft of course!:):p ), and circumeference/diameter of full package at the base if there's an A ring or similar.

    i too had a CB series device that kept breaking. The final straw for me was when it broke while i was at work and it pinched me so bad i doubled over into the fetal position in the middle of the floor. I found a metal cage at koalaswim.com for 59 dollars U.S. that i was trying to see if the design was ok while i measured for a Queens Keeper from Mature Metal. What started out as a test turned into a two years and running device.
