    I have had that feeling only once in my life and never come close to that feeling since that time. Hence my realisation that here is where I belong and hopefully I will meet the one. However, I am taking my time as this is the real deal for me. Then and only then I hope to crawl inside her and adore her for the rest of my days.

    I think it might be helpful if I lived in the states as unfortunately there seems to be a distinct lack of interest in the UK.

    I am on fetlife but I am not aware of ok Cupid or indeed any other sites as I have found conventional sites are not really helpful.

    it is never too late. me and my partner are 44 and 57 and we are new to all this, ie only since october 2013. your only problem might be finding someone who can put as much time and effort in as you wish. Mine was with an already existant relationship and mistress slave relationships tend to branch off from already long term loving relationships. good luck xx

    Age has nothing to do with making a kinky relationship work. It's like any really. It's about compatibility. You need an interest in kink, mutually, but it's no different than two vanillas. The hard part is, like you know, finding somebody you can grow with.

    I know from experience that compatibility is a very important aspect of any kinky relationship. I have, in the past, spoken to partners about this side of my personality on several occasions. I have been met with reactions that range from the dismissive (in a not on your life sort of way) to outright disgust ( apparently I am a pervert, and they would be right). Unfortunately, I have never met the one. I feel sure that there are many out there with similar stories and feelings and also not having found the one to share this journey with but at the same time getting to a stage in life where the effort to suppress the feelings that you have held inside simply becomes too much effort. I suppose those of is that have been fortunate to find a loving relationship which can grow into kink have been very fortunate but I suspect for everyone of us that has found that there are 10 that have not. Advice is a good thing and if all I learn whilst on this site is to be friends with some people of similar interest then maybe I will have to be content that that is the closest that I will come to my dream.

    Do you have any experience with a pro domme? You may not live the day to day lifestyle you crave but that outlet for your expression (and submission) could be like a mini holiday with as much frequency as you can afford :)
