Does anyone else experience crazy autocorrect behavior when posting in the forums using a mobile device?

As far as I can tell, this is the only site where I experience this. Oddly enough, it doesn't happen in chat.

When the craziness happens, I'm using the SwiftKey keyboard. Switching back to the default Samsung keyboard seems to help, but thought I'd bring this up anyway!

Have you tried using a different browser? I think it's the browser that corrects spelling, not sites themselves.

I use an iPad, and it has a mind of its own, here, on emails, word, you name it. I have to proof read everything, it’s especially good at changing rude words to polite ones here and doing it the other way round if it’s a business letter!

Because if I turned it off I wouldn’t be able to use it to do everything from watch Netflix to completing the Times crossword, and, incidentally, looking at this website

Yes, but the results are the same. This is the only site where it happens. And it only happens when using the post editor. Works flawlessly in chat.

It's not correcting spelling; the predictive text causes some really strange additions/deletions as I type... Such as extra letters or nonsensical 'corrections' to words that aren't... actually words. Sometimes punctuation and spaces disappear entirely as well.

I'm guessing something strange is happening when some elements of XenForo and SwiftKey are combined. I'm pretty curious if anyone else would get the same squirrelly results.

Not a big deal or anything but thought it might be an interesting nugget of info for any techies that tweak the forum framework.

My husband isn't the only training endeavor I've explored! My personal dictionary for this keyboard app is rather 'colorful'.

Still doesn't get it right all the time... Even though by now, it should damn well 'know' I'm not talking about ducks.

I noticed a long time ago that my iPad refuses to autocorrect words such as orgasm, penis, erection, ejaculation or any other of the 'sex' words. And the latest iPad keyboard, where you drag symbols down, might have seemed like a good idea but in fact it is a complete disaster. At least it is for me. I am always getting random symbols in the middle of words and it appears this bamboozles the autocorrect function as it never knows what I was trying to type.

I always read through a post before submitting it and almost every time I see something that I definitely didn't type.

I have been having issues as well. It isn’t really even auto correct I don’t think but some kind of glitch. In the middle of typing a post it will move so that I’m typing in the middle of a sentence I had already written, or I type “imagine” but when I look up I see “ I ment engine”. Auto correct is one thing but that isn’t even spelled right.

Also I’ve noticed it happens in the same time frame a lot, and the next time I’m on it doesn’t happen at all. Actually it just happened now when I typed “at all” it wrote “at aL”.

    Weird.

    OK, I'll try again.

Why don't you turn autocorrect off?

Because sometimes it’s right, and I would still have to proofread

I have problems with the text, similar to @Nicoftime also whilst typing it can suddenly change to another page and the whole typed text disappears, Very frustrating, but then computers and the software tend to have a mind of it's own.

When it comes to using a mobile device this site is awful. Don't understand why. Shutting off autocorrect is not an option and isn't the solution.

Another issue is that the chat now is annoying as is the "menu" and "log out" screen that are always dropping down when I try to slide up anywhere on the site.
