Got a safety warning today?

It means that their SSL (https) certificate expired. I looked at it and it expired on 6/15/2017. That is why we are getting the warning. At least those of us with decent web security/AV protection. I get the certificates for my companies servers. I know when they all expire but apparently there is no full time system administrator on this site daily, if I recall and they do not give the SSL certificates to just anyone. They check to make sure you are actually with the company and authorized, so a moderator cannot fix this. Usually a renewal is as quick as requesting one if nothing has changed so I assume that this will be fixed soon. It is not a good practice to ignore the warning. If it were not dangerous, they would not bother warning you as sternly as they do. I checked the site out on a private network with only my laptop on it. I use that laptop to check our websites and suspicious email attachments so that if anything is wrong, it will not infect my company's network. I saw that the certificate merely expired here so I came on but it is a pain to deal with all of the warnings.

Yes, I received same warning earlier this week. Security on my sever would not even allow me to access the site at all. Glad to see we're all caught up now.
As a public servant, I in no way am involved with any type of social media. Since the evolution of the internet, this web site is the only place and first time ever that I feel like I actually have a few friends in "cyber space." Would hate to loose that. But, I am guessing that this type of site is also constantly targeted by hackers, scammers, info. stealers, and lots of other nasty ones trying to do bad things.
