I am quite happy so far! Comfort is well above the CB6KS. Hygiene way easier. Urination way easier. Very lightweight. Service from Shapeways is excellent. Cost is very reasonable. Durability for plastic seems strong. Security seems adequate (for me).

I looked at your photos.....very nice. The ergo-shaped rings really make a difference. I will never go back to plain round ones again.

Nice cock, by the way.
Thanks tried the ergo rings and they didnt work for me. I also have had an 2 erection cages made. My keyholders idea They are on the cherry Keeper site

I saw those......They look amazing.......May I ask how the erection cages are used functionally in your house? Do you try to have intercourse like that? I assume you can't really wear outdoors......Please comment some more.....Thanks.

The plastic finish certainly has a texture. It's not a rough as in "sloppy manufacturing" texture, but a very regular somewhat grippy finish. Josie Lynn called it like eggshell. I'd say it's rougher than eggshell, but still very regular.

Which I am finding fascinating. So far everything is gripping the skin yet NOT chafing it. Hard to explain. But the ring isn't slipping off or down.....like my cb......there's no turtleing. Everything is just staying where it was originally put.

If there is a downside so far, it's that installing it requires a bit of care to get it all lined up correctly. But I haven't touched it in over a day. I was originally just gonna wear it for the day to get used to it. Now, I am not sure when I am going to take it off. That's saying something.

@Lazlo Toth great review and looks fantastic too!

You inspired me, i ordered mine today. We’ll definitely review once I’ve become quite intimate with it.

I have one of these and totally agree. Unfortunately the ring I ordered was too small. But I did get the impression for being a non metal cage it could very well be suitable for long term use.

what size cage is this and base ring ?? did you get the head lock ?? also what are your measurements flaccid and which cages have you used prior to this ??? been thinking of getting one for ages and this could help me make up my mind

Hi Diana,

By now I have bought a couple of cages from Cherry Keeper/Shapeways. I have the "small" and the "regular" cages. (you can see on the Shapeways site) I also own a few base rings. My favorite combo, if it helps you is the Ergo shaped single ring with a 50 x 45 size (oval) and the "small" cage.

Honestly, I'd think less about my personal measurements and trust what JosieLynn says on the Shapeways site about sizing. The reason is you may like a tighter fit or a looser fit. The double ring and the single ring feel totally different even with the same diameter.

My best advice after a fair amount of experience: Go as close as you can using her guidelines and buy ONE base ring and ONE cage. Wear that for a while, then decide if you wanted to go smaller or larger. Since the components are inexpensive, it's a good way to go.

I'd have never ended up with my favorite on the first try. But I got close.

One of our members Rodeo Cowboy duplicated what I bought, but he needed to get a different base ring AND cage.....He's now super happy. I am super happy.

With a $300 jailbird, you don't want to experiment. With a $30 cage from Shapeways, who cares if you buy a couple of them?

Those are my thoughts. Feel free to ask more questions, I am happy to help. But MY personal penis dimensions won't necessarily be of any help.

All the dimensions of the cages are on the site.

The double ring is meant to look like two rings joined together. It's really just a single ring also....just has more surface area to make for a more secure hold on things.

Yeah, I see that.

I'm trying to figure out if it would help prevent the burning sensation under the balls at 5am (morning wood / full bladder) - or make it worse...

A secondary question is does it help prevent the device slip away from the body or not. That would be somewhat useful also.

Yes....I think there is less burning with the double ring. AND there is less pulling away from the body. The larger surface area "attaches" to the skin a lot better.

The only thing to keep in mind is that that double ring extends the cage outward about 5mm......not a big deal, but if you want a short cage, keep that in mind.

I’m hearing from others that hygiene is an issue. On another forum it stated that urine caused discolouration.

Any thoughts on that?

Insofar as 3D printed plastic has a texture, organic matter can creep into the microscopic holes of the surface. This is more or less true with any surface and why ALL devices need to be washed regularly.

It's like your underwear. You change it every day and put on clean ones. You never go without, but you are always putting on the next pair.

But as far as the device being an open design and thus very clean on your skin, the Cherry Keepers are superb. The skin breathes extremely well.

My solution is to have more than one cage/ring. Every other day or so I take one off, shower, put a clean one on and finish washing the first one.

I find the lightweight, strength, fit, open air design, comfort, and low cost to ALL far outweigh the notion of having to wash it every few days.

I hope that helps.
