I feel I have to push back on this take

Yes it's true for most people, it's a weekend amusement, but for a minority it's clearly a strong driver of submission.
There are different takes on what captions represent (and if they should). Most are about the sensation of sexual denial, others relate this to a relationship dynamic, a matrimonial obedience tool.
I'm entirely uninterested in both of those, I see it as a psychological pressure point, an illusion of choice, an inevitable identity shift. I also find the idea that this is a male kink to be serviced by women to be a bit dull, as is the reductive happy wife/feminist take - The idea that denial could originate from agentic female intention is more appealing
You are seeing a caption as empty torture porn, I saw it as a significant moment and a psychologically painful door closing along the path of someone's submission.
It's telling a parallel story to the one Gentileschi depicted - female agency, a capacity for female violence in service of a cause, in the context of calculated manipulation - and what does trust mean here? Is it really a manipulative betrayal or was it both inevitable and necessary.
The caption points to the rebirth of that person, just as much as our own culture is moulded by events over millennia.
Both reveal something dark and uncomfortable about human nature.
You can't pretend that these things are not real physical experiences - just that other people's lives make you uncomfortable, you want to invalidate their emotional landscape and remove it from the room - but really your discomfort is still yours to process.
Complete submission and absolute female dominance is toyed with as a safe transgressive fantasy, because women are seen as operating within patriarchal social limits, that women can never truly hold absolute, irreversible power.
Yet it can also be an inevitable endpoint of chastity when the exit doors are locked, but only if someone submits to it.
If a caption makes you uncomfortable, it's really because you are reserving the power to say no
(token caption for waffling in a picture thread)
