My current affirmations are private for the moment, to keep pace my journal. But I have kept notes of what they were at various times in our relationship. These were mine as of 10/1/24:

I am required to recite 10 affirmations daily, once in the morning and once before bed. My wife “writes” them and I am required to memorize them. She changes them every three or four weeks - sometimes just a couple or sometimes all ten. It was one of the first rules she implemented. We’ve been doing it for years. I really enjoy it.

I do. They’re more than words. It’s a way of life and a mindset. I believe their biggest effect has been in helping me transition. There’s so many mental elements to it. Affirmations were a steady, calming presence.

There’s a submissive element to them obviously, so they’re a constant reminder of our places in our relationship. That extends to learning them as well. I’m only allowed to read them to her on the day she makes a change. After that I have to recite them from memory. So the times she makes lots of changes can be challenging. Mistakes are no bueno and punishable.

They can also provide a roadmap of where she plans to steer our direction. The ones I posted aren’t great examples. But, for instance, if a new one was “tighter is better” that sends my submission levels spiking. Is she talking about knots? Cuffs? Corsets? Clothes? I have to wait to find out, since sometimes the affirmation comes before any noticeable changes in our lives/sessions/rules.

Bringing this thread back as I find pledges and/or affirmations to be so powerful. I would urge everyone to try them, no matter if they are centered around your Female Led Relationship or otherwise. Affirmations are a great way to center yourself. I say mine to her first thing in the morning and at bedtime - perfect bookends to anchor our relationship to what's most important. I love reciting them to her.
