Forum formatting, please help

Hello!

I’m kinda new here and I’m trying to make sure my posts look the way I think they do, and I’m asking for help please.

I’ve been on other forums where a normal paragraph break in a post doesn’t show up for some people, depending on what browser they’re using.

So if I make a post with what looks like regular paragraph breaks, some people will just see a wall of text; and I have to use double breaks to ensure everyone sees paragraphs.

I’ve become suspicious of whether something like that could be happening here because I typed up a post in my notes app and when I pasted it into the forum here all of my regular paragraph breaks became TRIPLE breaks.

WTF?

I deleted all the huge breaks and made the post with regular paragraph breaks, at least on my end, but later I got to wondering if maybe that post is just a massive wall of unbroken text to some people.

I’ve written this post with a break between every sentence.

If anyone sees this or any of my other posts as a wall of text, can you please let me know?

I myself noticed that if I copy and paste from some text programs then it inserts additional lines. So, I just manually type everything here without copying or pasting anything. I know that takes longer, but it's the best way to go. Just make sure you have a spell checker enabled to catch any errors you type.

Here's a useful hint: Have it suggest corrections, not automatically apply them. That'll save you alot of headaches.

I don’t really do it to save time, I do it because I’ve had experiences of typing in a browser and then hitting “post” or send or whatever the case may be, but in the meantime I’ve been logged out or the site had a glitch or whatever and everything got lost. Hasn’t happened here yet, but it has caused me to develop certain habits

Did my post above look okay on your screen or was it one giant paragraph?

And I really appreciate people who care about how their posts look, forums rules don't make it easy (...like removing whatever spaces precede an emoji)

To support PA's note, spellcheckers have been around for 46 years yet one line captions still have typos?
It doesn't help that I no longer check the gibberish I type into Google, because I rely on its AI to decipher what I meant - I hope I'll never need to handwrite anything in the future that will be read by a human
