I am thinking about getting another BAWR titanium cage, BA-21 to downsize. I have never tried the glans retaining ring and was wondering about it.

I assume that it's main purpose is to restrict pullout, or if you managed to pull out, you wouldn't be able to get back into the glans ring without removing the cage. Does it add any discomfort or penis stimuation? Are there any real benefits, or drawbacks to adding one to my order

Thanks!

While I don’t have one from BAW, I’ve used one from MCN on a device without a base ring (see other posts from me on this). Yes, it’s designed just as you say. I’ve found no discomfort.

I've been looking at those but 8 didn't want to spend only to find it to be uncomfortable or doesn't work.
To test, I got some cheap silicone gland rings to at least try it. I had the idea of putting a hole on the rubber ball and feed a zip tie through it to attach to the cage. I didn't get that far, I found it uncomfortable.
I have just got a cheap teatherspout off eBay to try, which so far seems great!

I'm a fan of the glans ring. Never had a problem with the MCN one. Got my BAWR glans ring device yesterday and slept the night with zero discomfort. Can't comment on the long-term comfort though.

I have found a glans ring can be amazing or a nightmare and it all comes down to a few mm:)

I experimented with many until I finally found for me is a nearly perfect setup.

First trick is sizing matters. As does flexibility. Metal rings were a hard fail several times. My Lori would either not hold me or cut into me because there was no flex and I was a grower. I would shrink so small I would come right out or it would actually cut k to the skin when I was hard too long. All bad.

I then moved to rubber o rings. Lots of options and sizes here. This was a lot better and I was able to find a size that was almost perfect but I still had issues after a while with it cutting into the skin under the head after a few days.

The revelation was in finding that there is very different materials you can get rubber o rings in. Most of them are black nitril. There is not a lot of stretch in them but they are reasonably soft.

The trick was to get white silicone o rings. They have a lot more stretch and I was able to find one that fit me comfortably when he’s small and not fall off but also could stretch a bit when things tightened up.

The last trick is figuring out how to attach the o ring to whatever you are mounting it on. I tried small zip ties and found it would irritate me because of the hard plastic. I tried pony tail bands. Almost everything.

Then I discovered the whole silicone plumbers tape. It’s very thin but strong and does not bother me. I cut a length of it and then tie it to either the bottom bar of my kink3d cage or to my Lori retainer ring mount (I cut off the metal ring).

Could I pull and break the pluming tape or cut it with small scissors? Yes but I would never be able to get back in to reassemble things without the key or it being obvious.

This setup has worked for weeks at a time. The silicone ring is very comfortable and the plumbing tape has lasted for 3-4 weeks of wear so far ( across 2 sessions).

I will swap the tape for a fresh piece next time I am let out (who knows how long!). The silicone ring should pretty much go as long as it’s needed.

Best way to get the size right is to order a kit like this with a bunch of different sizes. Then you can experiment. I would say try without a cage and make sure it stays on you just behind the head for a day or so and does not hurt or cut to much.

Here is a option from Amazon

Which BAWR cage did you get? Did you vary anything in your measurements etc from the MCN device?

I am curious the largest o ring in that assortment is 20MM OD, can anyone use one that small without damage?

Silicone plumbers tape? Or … the ultra thin white teflon plumbers tape?
That’s the stuff. The key part is it’s very thin, but strong on pulling or stretching. I’ve tried lots of other things, but if it’s got almost any thickness, it will irritate me just under the head and sometimes will bleed. This is the first material I found that seems up to the job

OK, that might be a bad set. I ordered mine in Europe so I’m sorry if I didn’t look super close. I found sets that had slightly larger rings. I think mine that I settled on was like a 26 or 27 OD.

The important part is to make sure the material is the white silicone and not the black rubber. The white silicone is a lot more stretchy and will expand and contract some as you get hard inside the cage. The black rubber has no expansion so if you get hard inside the cage, it cuts into the skin if you’r aroused for a very long time.

One other thing to remember, is that every single millimeter counts.

This is why it’s worth getting one of the sizing kits so you can try a few different sizes. When you look at them, it’s hard to see the difference, but you will feel it with extended wear.

I was able to buy a number of jewelry type rings in metric sizes on etsy. They are pretty thin, but can be good for sizing. You can buy one or more in each size. They are sized by outer diameter in millimeters, and the wire diameter is about 1 mm. Not all increments are available, but you can get in the ballpark.

Problem for me is the material. At least for me it really needed to be the silicone. I tried to do metal and tried every size but could never get something that would be secure when soft, and not injure when arroused.

The BA-25 which has the bars spaced quite close together so that you can't manipulate the glans ring inside. With my previous device (MCN Contender) I figured out that you can just insert your dick into the glans ring even when locked because the bars were so far apart lol

I got two rings, 25 mm and 26 mm and the 25 mm seems to be absolutely fine. No issues yet. But as other said, every mm can make a difference, it's really hard to get it right on the first try.
