Hi everyone. My boyfriend of six months told me that he is interested in this chastity kink. I’ve been looking at this forum for two weeks now and decided to join. I didn’t know anything about chastity before he told me about it. To be honest, I didn’t understand it at first. He always jokingly says that it will “give me powers” and I think I know what he means now. I understand that chastity cages are something he wants me to buy for him. What I didn’t know is that there are many types and I’m not sure what to get him. What type should I buy him?

You need an good fit otherwise it'll be a bad experience. That said, depends how serious he is about chastity and if he just wants a quick 30 mins of denial and power exchange before sex or something more.

"Give you powers" - think of that moment when the padlock clicks and he's locked and you've got the only key. As he holds his hand out for the key, you say "no".... Let the negotiations begin.

You probably want to start with a not too expensive cage because it usually takes a few attempts to get a cage that is comfortable for long term wear.
You need to measure him very carefully when he is flaccid. Ball trap devices ( where there is a ring that goes around his scrotum with a method of attaching the cage) are the basic devices. More secure are cages with a prong that goes through a PA piercing, these are fairly impossible to remove with out the key. But you would have to have him pierced first, assuming he is not already pierced.

A plastic or resin cage is much lighter than a stainless steel cage but stainless steel is much easier to keep clean whereas resin or plastic cages need to be removed every few days to be properly washed. He should remove all his genital and pubic hair to avoid hairs being trapped in the device.

So yes, as @Disciplined Boyfriend says, it will depend on how serious he is about enjoying the frustrations of being locked up and how much you want to make sure he does not play with himself when you are not there. That will help you decide on how escape proof the cage needs to be.

Buy some cheap ones from amazon together, see whether you both enjoy the experience.

Make buying some a fun experience.

Wow, thank you for all this info! I had no idea there were so many technical details to consider. He’s not pierced by the way, so I think we’ll start simple. Do you have suggestions where to buy cages online?

One idea is to have him pick out five different ones online. You choose the one for him to buy. As above, you're best not to go too expensive and measure him before locking choosing. The ones with several base rings are by far the best to start.

You may also want to consider making him shave while you watch (or you shaving him) before his first 'lock up'.

Start with a few hours for a play session. Do this a few times, then lock him in the morning for an evening play session. Then move onto leaving it on after the play session. The next step will be overnight and wearing it outside the home.

Be sure to keep the verbals going. Make sure that you communicate you want him locked.

Also, don't be affraid to be a bit selfish. He will benefit from it. Once you cage him, make him sit on a chair while you masturbate or use a vibrator. That will totally arouse him.

Many people say Amazon. But all the cage makers sell on line. However these makers will not offer you a range of rings, they need you to specify his measurements so they can make a cage just for him.

I've bought several plastic/printed cages on Amazon and they came with four or five rings each. This was really helpful as sometimes you're not sure between two sized rings, and this allows you to try each for a while and find the right fit.

Once you're happy with this setup, then go metal, if you want.

My boyfriend says he wants this cage from locktheock.com He says it looks cool and it does fit in my price range.

I had one of those. It fit me well and was comfortable. Unfortunately, the lock bump on top showed under my pants. If your boyfriend is 'high and tight', it may work for him. I am not, and there was just no way I could wear it without it showing under my clothes.

That cage is likely to cause rubbing and pinching problems due to its hinged ring, most people prefer a solid ring, also that's quite large which is fine if he is genuinely that size totally flaccid, you ideally want one a little shorter than his flaccid size. Also as others have pointed out the lock section is bulky and may be noticeable under clothes.

It also looks like the ball gap is quite big so you may get balls slipping through the ring with that.

Of all the cages on lock the cock I would recommend this one to start with, nano or smaller if his measurements are right:

Yes, all the major cage manufacturers will make a cage to your specific measurements. As an example check out Evotion. You will find a diagram showing which measurements you need and you can choose different features and add ons like spikes!
Dont check out Evotion unless you want a heart attack at their prices and yes I do have one gathering dust somewhere 😂

If that's the one he wants, I think you should go with it. It comes with a few rings, so you can choose the size that fits.

Personally I like the Cobra style, but the one you suggest is not too dissimilar.

If you're in the UK, you could try IIIDXY.com. I have used their cages for years and they feel safe, secure and comfortable.
