See parts and photos on thingiverse: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:4844767 The base ring is from the generic chinese "Magic Lock A338" - I found one on ebay for $20. Lock included. Also check out my other design coral v5.1, which works with the same base ring and lock. pa-pin.stl is used to optionally secure a PA ring. The tube is designed specifically to facilitate experimenting with the placement of the pin so you can emperically discover the ideal distance the PA security pin should be based on your particular anatomy. Eventually I hope to turn this design into something of a modular chastity-tube-test-fit-kit that one can use to discover optimum dimensions based on their anatomical particulars, which then can be fed into a much sleeker parametric model that can be printed in metal. collar-v1.stl and spikering-v1.stl are optional inserts I designed to experiment with the effects and placement of a tight "entry collar" inside the tube. They are too small and/or too long for me, but it was too much work to rebuild the main tube with a bigger inner diameter to fit larger inserts. I plan to do this in the next rev. I used Autodesk Fusion 360 to create this design. If you would like to tweak it, please get in touch and I'll find a way to invite you to the project or export it to you.
Unless you have a machine that can do nylon, I'd suggest printing at 100% infill with ABS or PETG. You can vapor smooth ABS with acetone for a super slick finish.
This design will be challenging to print with hobby-grade filament printers (FFM), depending on supports etc. Jessica Alexander's advice is a good starting point. Hobby photolithography printers should be able to handle it. For reference: - shapeways quoted $326 (~$370 w/ tax + shipping) to manufacture it out of stainless steel w/ gold coating. - i.Materialize quoted $1160 to make it out of surgical grade titanium. I assume both services would be far less expensive when using their nylon/plastic/other-low-cost substrates.
Interesting. I wonder if it could be adapted to work with the electronic locking mechanism of a Cellmate?
hmm.. I have interest in this... but its files are no longer on thingiverse. I noticed you mentioned shapeways. Do you have a shapeways shop to order this from?
here is a repost of the design files - also includes a bunch of technical docs re mechanical engineering https://github.com/McSwitchy/coralv8 (for thingiverse you may need to have a thingiverse account and set NSFW to yes) https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5082568
This is an amazing design. I don't have a pa, but use a tetherspout (search the forum). i can envision several ways of securing it inside so when closed there is no way to free it.
Thanks a lot for the feedback, @hers. Maybe you would be surprised, but I haven't gotten much feedback about it - so I really appreciate the recognition. maybe I should do more to share the work or make it more accessible... anyway, I am sure there are minimal mods you could make to get it working with your TA.
