I travel abroad once every 3 months so in the time between I am locked up in my Desire. I have never really gotten on with the CB-3000 for long term wear and having it on just for the trips ends up irritating me. I travel with out being locked up and the airport sensors do not pick up my piercing. So for those in the know, does the new PA 5000 set off the airport alarms or does the small amount of metal in it get through? Thanks
How did this slip past without a reply yet! Sorry locked4her, maybe we were all too busy :sex_porn: As far as I know, the manufacturer makes not claims about it being airport safe. I haven't heard of any of the owners giving it a try either thus far, which is probably the only way we will find out. I'm all for someone in the USA giving it a try, because you probably have the highest sensitivity metal detectors going around. Does anyone else know, or has anyone tried walking through a metal detector with a PA-5000 yet?
I fly out through Heathrow and into Bonn, Heathrow doesnt seem to catch my piercing by Bonn sometimes does. I know the Germans are getting better kit but the US have the most sensitive scanners. I'm surprised that the PA-5000 manufacturer hasn't made the device with a plastic turn lock, you never know they may be working on it. Thanks for the reply Burger
I have two 10ga nipples, and a 6ga PA. I didn't set off any sensors in my recent US flights. I've never had problems with it. mikecb
With these full body scanners, that essentially strip you naked, you probably won't set off alarms ... but the guy watching it will get a good view !
scanners Can you imagine, the folks who work those scanners are going to see a lot of interesting stuff. I am sure they will see lots of plastic chastity devices. It will be interesting to see in the future if the news reports a big rise in male chastity devices seen in airport security.
The scanners differ between surgical steel and others. Don`t know if you thought about it but you can wear a pretty heavy wrist watch without setting off the alarms but any amount of steel in your shoes certainly will. They use a mix of height, weight, speed and type of metal when determining alarm or not. I guess all terrorists know this by now so they will change it. Body scanners... guess they will see it all. I can test this next week, just put the PA 5000 in my pocket and walk through.
BUMP! Just wondering if there are any updates on this. Has anyone tried going through a metal detector with a PA5000, either in your pocket or "installed?" The safer option would be to assume that it's a no-no, but the amount of metal is small enough that it wouldn't surprise me if you can sneak through with one. I've heard that the small metal padlocks generally don't set them off, but I've never tried. My KH are assuming that I'll need to be unlocked for an upcoming trip, but she would be delighted to hear it if anyone has tried successfully.
Bearing in mind that a year or so ago a terrorist tried to blow up a plane using plastic explosives hidden in his underwear, I would suggest that trying to get past airport security with any significant amount of plastic, silicone or metal snuggled around one's nether regions is asking for trouble especially when everyone is on high alert waiting for a possible post bin-Laden backlash from AQ, and at the very best if detected is going to cause you some delays and possible non-boarding. I face a similar dilemma when I travel and using smartphones and numbred chastity tags etc., it's simple enough to work out a validated 'relock asap' regime once at the destination to keep Madam satisfied that Her plaything is back under proper control. -NotR-
I fly every week and get thru *all* US scanners in the 5000... Can't imagine what the TSA agents think when viewing my backscatter scan. I always take special note of the agent facial expressions. Nothing out of the ordinary! Tom
The agents who look at the scans are NOT the ones standing there at the gate. They are off in another room somewhere, and signal the agent at the gate when it's OK to let you go.
I realize that... But the TSA agent that is viewing the screens do communicate back to the agent exiting the backscatter... I'm sure that communication is professional but I'll bet there's a comment every now and then... And I'm sure the viewing agents have seen ALOT...
