My question is, should I have just stayed locked instead of having to really work to get the ring off? Is there a risk of damage trying to force everything out of the ring? Ring might be too tight. Have to look for color and cold in your balls. Cold means loosing circulation get cage off asap. My general rule is being able to get index finger to first knuckle between balls and ring. Again that's my rule.
Thanks for the reply. Color and temp were normal. I had the same thought about the ring, but when my balls aren’t stimulated and trying to retract they fit in the ring just perfect. I’ve tried the next size up ring and get way to much movement. At this point I’m kinda chalking it up to being a novice at this whole thing. I probably should have lubed or lotioned up before taking the ring off.
Taking the ring off during any stage of an erection is typically difficult, as you have lost any extra room.
So, when I got home yesterday I put my cage back on. After a couple hours the ring(45mm) was just feeling too tight, so I decided to switch it for the next size up(48mm). Felt much better, amazing what 3mm can do. This morning was a lot like yesterday morning. Very stimulated down there. I decided to stay locked up and go to work with it on, and yes my wife double checked that I have the key. When things calm down and loosen up I will take it off if it’s getting uncomfortable. don’t push yourself to go hard-core from the outset. best-practice is to build up slowly over days & weeks and give yourself time to get used to it - eventually you’ll not be able to remember the early acclimatisation.
Usually when people talk about checking is see if you can still stick your index finger in under the ring to the first knuckle… and then check the temp and color of your balls. They may be a little cooler than the rest of you but definitely shouldn’t be cold, they also may swell slightly, but should not be turning dark or purplish - if they are things are too tight and need to come off. As others mentioned, taking a true “break in” period is important and shouldn’t be rushed - everyone wants to dive right in, but in order to really enjoy long term lockup and denial, taking time to get the fit right is important.
