3/8 to 1/2 gap

    Is the gap extended from the ring or cage as far as fine tuning the fit? I understand 3/8 is good for most but if I ride higher and tight should i go with a 1/2" gap

    My original MM Jailbird had the 3/8 gap but I was getting a lot of burn. Speaking with them they suggested going to a 1/2 inch as I am also high and tight. I did order a second Jailbird and the extra gap made the comfort level considerable better where I no longer need to lube twice a day.

    If you’ve got questions then I’d recommend sending them an email, as I always found them very helpful and responsive.

    1/2” gap has been very comfortable for me! I definitely recommend it.

    We just updated the website. It now has both fractions and mm. Should have done that long ago.
