I ordered a jailbird a week ago and probably can change my order from padlock model to security screw model still. My question is how does the security screw work ? In the photo it shows a threaded screw ,but being the price is $65.00 verses the $8.95 padlock , and also that replacement keys are not available , I'm wondering exactly what locking method is used , is there tumblers somewhere ( it doesn't look that there is) If its merely a screw with an unusual head requiring a matching screwdriver to un screw it , then why are replacement screws not available ? Hmmm, There is no doubt a very simple and maybe obvious answer , but I can't think of what it might be. Maybe each screw has a unique head and is made for its one and only unlocking screwdriver , but then how come a replacement isn't available ? I will probably be embarrassed at the simple answer , but remember what they say " there is no such think as a stupid question" ha,ha. I hope you remember that ..
I think it has got a funny top to the screw that wont be a ordnary screwy driver. my friend emily has got one and the screw things keep coming undone on there own.
Hi The screws are unique to Mature Metal. You will not find a bit that will fit in the head in any hardware store. The screws thread into the same hole as the lock so you can use the screws or the lock in the same hole. We do not sell the Keys/bits but we can sell you as many screws as you like. If we sole the keys/bits then there would be no security. Please have Emily contact us. This will sometimes happen but we have a fix for that to help to prevent it from happening again. Thank You!!!
Hi Mistressmaturmetal, I ordered a jailbird a few days ago, I requested the padlock one, if I later would like to order the screw and key ,will I be allowed to ?
@mistressmaturemetal tells it like it is. I've seen plenty of security bit/drivers...none of which match the MM screws.
Yes, we would need the clean cage and clean ring returned to us. I will have to send an invoice to you since the security screws are not a stand alone option.
For what it is worth the screws are worth the investment, much more comfortable. The downside is it can be a little figgedity which might lead her to let you out less....
I have my jailbird from MM now and glad I didn't get the screws as I'm sure I'd find away to unscrew them. This way once all the keys are in my Ladies hand I'll know I'm in her control.
With a good turn, they usually stay put. However, if you are worried, then the locking post could have and extra hole drilled to fit a plastic security seal. I am so glad I went with the security screw.
I got the jailbird with the padlock, I found the pin and tube very poorly thought out. I sent a review down near the bottom of this site where it says something like " chastity devices" I entered it under " jailbird"
I use a bit of blue locktite. The problem is a flat bottom of a screw into a curved surface. If it was countersunk it would work. Do not feel like mailing mine in again and the locktite works. If I could, I would use the padlock it is more secure. Just feels too heavy for me and hurts the top of my penis after awhile screw is much lighter and I would not remove my Jailbird if I could anyway. I asked for this, not my wife.
Yes olddog, , I agree the padlock can be painfull. I'd like to see the tube and pin be made from square bar , and with the end of the tube capped, that way when the pin hit the bottom you would know the holes are lined up , especially with it being square. As it is I have to struggle to get the pin into the right depth , then rotate it so the holes are lined up. I also drilled the holes bigger and it helped some , but with vaseline smeared in my genitals its very hard to get lined up. The think important to me was that I would be unable to get out with out my keyholders consent . Sadly I can easily get out . The saving thing is that I would be unable to get back in, so It leaves one kind of on the honor system.
