    I have some of those locks, they are functional, and cute, but feature almost zero security. Easily unlocked with almost anything, a paperclip, for example.

    Locks are in general, insecure. If you can figure out how to pick it, you can remove it without detection.

    A security seal of some type is a better solution.

    Yes, it has a unique number embossed on it, and a cable which goes into a locking mechanism. Once the cable is secured, the only way to remove it is to cut the cable.
