Lots of other threads on this here, but IMHO anything steel will set off a reasonably tuned metal detector - it doesnt matter what grade it is. Frequently you will still be let thru with a quick flash of the hand wand and every so often a quick question. An all plastic cage with a plastic lock will pass a metal detector but not a body scanner. But again you should have little problem explaining your "body jewellry" if asked.
Afaik many airports are using bodyscanners now. Which means they can even detect plastic cages. Would like to hear some stories whether they said anything though.
I don’t travel a great deal, so never had any experiences, but I did have to go to court recently as a witness for a friend, and got though those scanners no problem in a plastic cage and padlock.
We are planning on going on a cruise in the future. Anyone experience issues boarding or bringing the cage onboard in your luggage? I would like him locked up but we will be with family so I don’t want any issues or confiscations. Also do you think they’d take the Hitachi If that was packed too? I’m not sure how strict they are with carry on.
I was wondering if stores and libraries have metal detectors? Same with dispensary do they have them?
For the record, the TSA (transportation security agency) has gone out of there way to point out that chastity devices are OK, although they may set of scanners and prompt additional screening. You may not make it through screening without detection, but detection will not prevent you from boarding your plane. I'm having a hard time imagining cruise lines, courts, etc. having a more restrictive policy.
Can’t imagine confiscations: why? They aren’t deadly weapons! My wife and I have been traveling with her Hitachi Magic want in our luggage for over 20 years now (10+ trips a year). Never even had a question about it much less any trouble. I’ve gotta believe that TSA sees dozens of wand vibrators a week!
We were on a cruise last year. I was in a 316 stainless steel chastity device, my GlansArmor2 with extra tight cage rings, and I brought my Evotion plastic cage. Not only did I not have a problem boarding in my steel GA2, I went through the cruise ship metal detectors multiple times without anything tripping. We were also wearing matching locking stainless steel bracelets. No problem. It was fun. I even went snorkeling in my cage under board shorts. I braved the public men’s shower too. No one got to see my penis, caged or not. The whole trip went very well. I didn’t have to switch to plastic.
I regularly go through metal detectors and/or wand screening at sports venues and concert halls in my A273, as recently as last night. I haven't tried TSA or government buildings yet, scared of professional repercussions.
Snap! We have been traveling by air from the UK for a few years with her strap on, vibrator and various toys in our hold luggage! I have no doubt it makes anyone who views the x-ray images chuckle but it doesn't matter! Come to think of it I bet they don't even bat an eyelid, probably more common than we think!
