Hello everyone, Just rec'd my measuring rings from Mature Metal. So let the journey begin. Have been anticipating the beginning of this section of purchasing a custom cage from Mature Metal. Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thank you all in advance.
My advice is to be patient and expect that you may need to make a few adjustments to get the fit just right (I did) MM is great to work with Good luck!
Get the oval ring, makes a world of difference. And as what was said, you will more than likely have to send it back for adjustments, MM has world class customer service, listen to their advice too, they are experts. Also, when you get it, baby oil around the base ring is your FRIEND!!
I definitely plan on being patient. As I have been using a steel cage from Amazon on and off for the past year and a half. I have been locked up for almost 4 weeks. I also plan on ordering the oval ring as you suggested Jack In A Cage. I was looking to get the double rings, 2 security screws that are counter sunk. As for using baby oil, I have been using either Bag Balm or Palmers Cocoa Butter on the ring. The only problem that I see right now is removing the cage I have on now to measure and how long to keep it off. Or if I could take the cage off for measuring and than put it right back on as needed.
Leave the cage off and wear the measuring rings for a day or two to make sure you have the correct sizes. Be especially careful of the diameter. That is the one measurement that cannot be adjusted.
I am definitely going with the oval ring and probably will use either Bag Balm or Palmers Cocoa Butter.
When I ordered my QK I was glad I got the measurement rings. I i fiddled with a couple of rings before settling on what felt right. Then I wore the fitting ring for a little over a day. I am glad I did, because I found I had guessed too large when it slipped off while I was at work. Moved down one size, wore it for almost a week with no slips and no pinching. NOw, the only thing I would change is I would have ordered the cage about a 1/4 inch shorter, otherwise everything was spot on to the point of having done over 6 months with no removal at all.
Yes, the base ring is a tough one, right now I have it narrowed down to 3 sizes. I have been wearing a 1 3/4” stainless steel cock & ball ring for sometime now and have not had any probably with it sliding off or pinching.
