The Permanent Chastity/Denial Matrix

Can we name the matrix? The Rectrix/Edge Scale? I am serious. It'd be so cool if there was a well established shorthand for our chastity condition.

I'd like to see an update to the chart that plotted individual positions (from June) just to see where everyone is and to see if I have anyone else joining me in the lower left quadrant. Here's the June chart again.

 

There seems to be hot competition as to who is the most hardcore, as if 10/10 is the ultimate achievement. I have to say that I'm very happy just where I am and have no 10/10 ambitions whatsoever.

Not trying to "define" chastity. Picking it up and putting it down at will doesn't work for most who are looking for self betterment, relationship therapy, or bdsm power exchange.

A chronic masturbater can't be in the lower right quadrant if they are trying to break the habit.

A person like me who loves the power exchange needs 24/7 to make it "real".

Some people are dealing with gender dysphoria and 24/7 helps them deal with it.

24/7 works for some relationships to move the focus from the penis as the center of pleasure to their partner. It takes effort and time to break that dichotomy. Random lock ups and frequent releases won't help.

My thoughts on why the upper left quadrant is more popular. And IMO, closer to true chastity.

 

Very well said. We started "playing" with chastity a few years back but I wouldn't have said we were "into" chastity until we were able to do it long-term with 24/7 lockups and long-term denial. At that point we started seeing the relationship benefits of stopping my masturbation, focusing on her pleasure, and submitting to her more fully.

Even playing with it wasn't that fun because the cages I had were uncomfortable even for short term use. And we weren't going to invest in a good cage unless it was for long term use... and once we did of course we want to get our money's worth out of it

 

To me, and a majority of others, the lower right quadrant is a starting point on your chastity journey. The upper left is the destination.
