I know that my cage is supposed to be snug so nothing moves around and stuff. But are there any ways to tell how tight is too tight? Other than obvious things like pain/discolouration/numbness/etc.
Things I have read aren't super clear either, some say some redness is normal since youre slowing bloodflow with the ring, but some others list redness as a bad sign but don't go into detail about how to tell if its too tight.

    I appreciate your advice!

If you dont feel any sore and just slight discomfort, i think everything is ok. Tight enough to prevent a ball slipping out. Pull the scrotum slightly to prevent folding of skin around the ring and to prevent entanglement of the chords. Pain is subjective between individuals. Redness sometimes can be caused by rubbing of the balls against your thigh since the balls are spread flat against the body.

I wear Mature Metals Jail Bird. The advice they share on ring tightness is, if you can slip a soapy finger between the ring and your body it's fine.

Yes, things feel way different wearing a cage. In time, you won't even feel you're wearing one.

The cage should be tight but make sure you are getting proper blood flow. I am in a steel Nub that is very secure and keeps the little piece in its place. The steel is heavy, so in order to keep the weight off a steel waist belt is employed which makes the system very secure and tamper proof. The system is very comfortable while dressed in a skirt but not as comfortable while dressed in drab.

Colour change is a good indicator but can happen for other reasons to. numbness and temperature change are signs to. if you feel cold to the touch.

I imagine blue would be more concerning. Lacking oxygen in the blood. If that’s occurred I’m sorry to hear it, you probably didn’t need them anyway. Otherwise you should be good.
If youve spent more than a day in it and nothing has dropped off you’re probably good to go.
