I have a frenum, and am happy with that. However, I tend to agree that PAs are probably more reliable (less likely to migrate or tear). I had a frenum tear thru several years ago, within a few months of placement. For whatever reason, my current frenum piercing has been in place and working fine for almost 4 years. My cage (Evotion Bijou) has been anchored to my frenum 24/7, with only brief weekly removals for cleaning/inspection for that entire time. Bottom line: Every individual is different, and therefore no universal "best" choice exists. PA is probably a better choice for most people, but there is no way of knowing if it's best for you until you try it.

From what I have read up on a PA is much more durable and useful for chastity, I’ve been thinking about getting one for years. But I have a very thick foreskin as I am uncut and I think this would cause problems.

I’ve been wearing my Ridig PA cage for about 4 years. Open design so I can thoroughly wash each morning without removing. My wife will remove it in the shower a couple times a year and give me a ruined orgasm to “clean out the pipes” then promptly lock it back on. No issues with long term lock up.

I’ve had my PA since 2013, only used it for chastity in the last 9 months. She loves that there’s no way to pull out. Can’t wait for my titanium cage which should be here in about a week. It’s a 4 gauge captive hook.

This has been so informative, thank you. But one question: do you have to stay out of your cage during the healing process? How about the stretching process?

I went down a different path. As I have foreskin I found my situation slightly different to others. Having a PA or Frenum would mean I’d be constrained only while having my foreskin retracted.
My wife wanted something less invasive than your typical piercing.
I had* a Jacobs ladder style piercing half way down my shaft. It sits perfectly for frenum hook cages whilst flaccid. Does the job and heals quick.

*when I say ‘I had’ I mean: I did myself. I’m not scared to get my hands dirty.

You need to be able to clean or soak the piercing, which may not be possible in a cage and obvs you can't use the piercing to secure anything, but if there is room in your non-PA cage for the jewellery, then it should be OK.

Got it. Thank you very much. Wish me luck convincing my Wife to think it's anything other than repulsive...
