Smaller the cage, the better?

I can't speak for other growers, but my experience is that when you use a short enough cage (VERY short - no more than an inch) then the erection is prevented altogether so any discomfort is minimal and in most cases, there's no discomfort at all... Just the fact that you can't get hard no matter how aroused & excited you are and that's the best part. All the frustration without any pain.

As for your balls turning purple, that's perfectly normal... In fact, I see that as a nice little "bonus" because the setup gives a more literal meaning to the term of getting "Blue balls"

I tried the "My Little Cock Restraint" cage because it's about 0.9 inches long, but it's unusual ring shape made my balls hurt. Not ache, hurt, so that didn't work for me and I ordered this 1 inch "FRRK Small Negative Chastity Cage" and I'm just waiting for it to arrive. I'm currently locked in my "Cage of Shame" but it has extra room and there's a gap out in the front which allows my cock head to poke through and that's no good because I can accidentally stimulate myself like that.

 

I’d say it’s better and worse. I’m a grower and as far as comfort and sleeping without being woken by attempts it’s better. It’s even easier to clean which I found surprising (less surface area I guess?). The downside is the complete inability to get any kind of erection. Even after months in my current 1” cage I’m still missing feeling anything beyond a brief swell.

 

That's not much of a downside if you ask me... It sounds more like a bonus.

 

As long as the base ring is sized correctly and the ball gap sufficient the rest of the package will squeeze into a tiny cage. I only have an of the shelf SS cage and I wish it was a little longer. However very few come with base rings larger than 50mm so that is why I wear the 1 I am in. If I ever get a custom I will just get extended length by 1/2 inch over my current cage however I find this little cage to be very comfortable.

 

The smaller the better, I started with a stainless-steel Nub that kept everything fairly secure. A few years later, I purchased an inverted cage from DH Gate that is the best. It is comfortable, very secure, and there is no way to play with the little thing. With the addition of a steel waist belt and high security screws it is impossible to remove unless you have the special tool.

 

I think we all started with a cage that was to large for us. As many have said it's surprising just how small you can go. For some of us, there is a limit. My Cherry Keeper is small and, unlike a lot of people my penis, when free is still fairly large. It does however manage to fit into its home quite comfortably with a little effort and care. I certainly wouldn't go any smaller.

 

I have an array of cages and as a grower none of them stop the erection pulling the base ring from my body. I’ve just started to re-wear the CBs and the additional material around the balls and light weight seem to offer the best fit during arousal when asleep.

The base of my cock is wider when errect that the middle of my shaft, so as soon as there’s any movement forwards the base ring has less resistance.

I’ve tried smaller base rings to combat this but they usually end up causing injury resulting in having to heal and then just go back up a size. Pretty frustrating.

I’ve spent the majority of the last 6-7 years locked and I have seen zero reduction in size…from my experience there is no perfect cage and no penis shrinkage! But maybe that’s just me…

 

That’s been my experience thus far as well, but I’ve only been experimenting with chastity for 7 months. I suppose anything can happen but so far your words have been true for me too.

 

On a practical level a small cage is more discreet. My mistress prefers as small as possible because she wants me as far as possible to feel like I have no manhood and wants complete erection control for herself. She does not want me having any sort of erection while I'm worshipping her body or being pegged. She's downsized me several times and once she's satisfied her property will not be harmed i'll never go in a bigger cage except to relieve extreme discomfort. We have a nub which is sore over the long term but is useful to her for threats or punishment.

 

Yes and no. It's so much more comfortable concealing a smaller cage and I prefer the ease and comfort when the cage is packed into pants. However, I can't wear them long term... I'm around 3.5 inches flaccid and the small cages let me grow at least halfway behind the cage as it pulls away from my body. I want to try a larger diameter cage, but don't know if it's worth the money just to test it.

 

One thing I find hard is to find cheap chars with smaller cage diameters.

 

Definitely smaller is better overall. My first cage was the CB Curve which was ridiculously long, but I didn't know better. I tried the CB2K and then the CB3K, then various sizes of metal cages. The most successful ones have been a Steelwerks Looker 02 with urethral insert and a Ternence one bar cage also with urethral insert (picture in profile). Each cage has been progressively smaller than the last and more comfortable.
