What lube do you use on the ring?

my favorite is 100% silicone lube. a few drops is all that is needed and it lasts a very long time and is not greasy . I have a really small essential oils bottle that I put the silicone lube in to toss in my pocket if I think I will need more during the day.

 

I use whatever lotion my wife has morning and night. Lube per say makes everything too slippery for my liking.

 

I would recommend Baby Oil Gel….. important that it’s Gel….

Yes, baby oil gel seems to work well.
Also, ball burn is caused by the gap between the ring and the cage being too small. You may want to try to open the gap a little.

I actually use my beard oil, the skin absorbs it throughout the day. Since I make my own I know what's in it and it's dirt cheap. During my early span of lockup I reapplied a couple of times a day, now I just use it in the morning after the shower. Once everything relaxes into place all is good.

 

Please may we have the recipe for your beard oil.

 

I prefer Vaseline. I carry the small tube for lip application. Works well, doesn’t dry out and it’s to carry on the go.

 

If you bought everything separately it will cost a fortune. But I used to have a business and sold it so I have all of these on hand

Sweet almond oil
Caster seed oil
Grape seed oil
Olive fruit oil
Argan oil
Rice bran oil
Rosemary leaf extract
Sunflower extract

Honestly if you used the top 3or 4 and play around with the mixture to get the consistency your looking for I think you'd be ok. Ostrich oil for me is a must.

 

Shea butter has been my goto for cockrings and ball stretchers for years, now I use it with my cage.

 

Just some random Nivea hand cream works fine for me, just a little bit if it happens, usually once every 2 or 3 weeks.

 

Thank you for this thread. I’m transitioning from a Holy Trainer to a steel cage, mainly for its look as well as the ability to keep things clean without removing the cage. I used silicone lube with the Holy Trainer, but it required removal for proper cleaning and reapplication of the lube.

When I first got the steel cage, I thought the polished smoothness would eliminate the need for lubricant. But it wasn’t long (not even a couple of hours) to learn differently. Silicone lube works, but I’m going to try some of the options that you all have mentioned to see what works best for me, long term.

I'm locked 24/7 and prefer E45 cream when I get ring burn.

 

Something I should add, I had a particular body wash I used that caused ring burn too. I don't know why, but I switched to a different body wash and haven't had a problem since. I did backtest the theory and used the other one again and same problem. Always be sure to rinse well. So there's no residual soap inside the base ring.

 

A dab of lanolin works great, as does A&D diaper rash ointment, which is mostly lanolin and petroleum jelly. Stays put all day, even in the summer.

 

I honestly dont think most people should need lube or cream on a daily basis if you do there must be an issue with your cage being the wrong size/shape or the ring/ball gap being too small.

 

Avoid any lubes with organic materials in it i.e. glycerine as the heat and the sweat will make it ferment and get nasty. Best ones are silicon based, as others have said.
