Hi All,

My KH and I have been using CB-X chastity for years. She likes the clear, closed styles. However, I am not sure if it is something I am doing or if chastity devices that are plastic end up cracking over time. The rings and other parts end up eventually breaking. I have had the rings where the pins go through break several times. So, I am constantly buying new parts.

For those of you who use or have used CB-X along with other products, can you tell me if you need to replace parts a lot as well?

I have been looking at the Vice because it is similar in many ways. I am just wondering if they fail as frequently as CB-X does. What about Cobra? I have only bought knock off cages in that style from etsy, and they cracked. I am sure the name brand lasts longer, I am just not sure how long.

Are there cages you know of like the CB-X style that are clear plastic which last longer?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Does no one read these or use CB-X any more? I have more issues and I need to find CB-X users to ask!

I haven't worn a cb-600s device in years and years. But yes, when I did, parts did break over time. I don't think they were made with long term wear in mind. Both with the choice of the plastic they used and the workmanship -- I know they're mass-produced to a price point, but I'm thinking locations for plastic welds, plastic thickness in high-stress positions, etc.

I can remember buying additional rings, as the one size that I really liked would break from time to time. I can also remember the seam down the center of the cage splitting, which was a bit painful.

I have ad a knock off of the cb6000 and both the rings broke and the cage split. had to reglue the cage.
then I got a real cb6000s and had that for 2 years now and nothing broke. I am not in it every day but at least 3 times a week. maybe I just got lucky with this one.

I also have a cobra knock off and doing good with that

I have a cb6s and havent had those issues the real one is alot better made than knockoff versions. I also have the vice and the split ring will give me a raw spot . Also split a cage from the vice so back to the cb . I am fairly rough with things though

I've tried the CB3k and CB6k. They are old school and in many ways old designs. IMHO not comfortable. I also don't like the pins sticking out as they can be noticable and the lock jangles. I much prefer the Cobra type designs.

I discovered that metal, off-the-shelf cotter pins, readily available at the hardware store, can be found in the size that would directly replace the main plastic pin, the one which goes from behind the base ring and through to the cage.

Believe it or not, there are types of these pins that *already have* the flanged end, so it will nest properly within the base ring!

So if you have any ability with a Dremel rotary tool, you can (1) cut the pin length down so that it is only as long as it needs to be, to accept a lock, and (2) drill a hole through the pin, if you need to have a rather custom fit.

Otherwise, some cotter pins have multiple holes already drilled into them, so you can (probably) find the one that gives you the length and gap that you need, and simply widen only that one, a bit, if necessary.

Re: base rings cracking: easy enough to have a few spare rings on hand.

Re: cage cracking: not sure if this info would help, but when I knew I was transitioning from the CB to the JailBird, I experimented with cutting down the length of the CB cage (Dremel), and gluing it back together as desired, and it *worked*. So, perhaps with the use of very specific plastic glue, a repair would not be out of the question.

I had two CB devices.. both were very uncomfortable and I dumped them. Old and not made with comfort in mind. Plus overly expensive. I would avoid them. Far more higher quality devices available at a more pocket friendly price.

The cb2000 was a game changer for me. It was incredible as it was affordable... However it broke and pinched my cock something rotten.

I glued it, but the ring snapped.

I bought a replacement metal ring, and all was good until I found knock offs on dhgate.. and then AliExpress.. and then I found this forum and the wealth of information.

I love something more secure. There is something about the weight of the metal, and many of the cheap ones on AliExpress are better and more comfortable.

I do plan, soon, to get pierced, and perhaps get a secure chastity to use my future pa piercing, but realistically, the cb-x series will always have a soft spot in my heart... Even though I will never wear one again.

Yes, I used to have a cb3k many years back too. Was somewhat fun to play with but modern designs are far superior, esp for comfort. It's like comparing an old computer running Dos with a modern computer running Windows 11. Unless you're wanting a retro look, there is simply no point in using these old designs.

im in my cb5000s right now, been in since saturday night. no problem and fits good. I have had this cage for about a year and a half

AHH.. that's what I thought. I also thought that cb-x used to do a pa5000 cage too, in two sizes, so it could have been either!
