Cherry Keeper lock in the Shower?

Hi, I'm a longtime lurker of this site looking to get back into chastity. I was interested in pulling the trigger on a Cherry Keeper, but I was debating about whether to go with the lock that slides into the device or the more traditional ABUS lock. I like the small built-in lock since it would weigh less and I wouldn't have to worry about any clink and clank noises that traditional locks can sometimes make. However, I worry about these slide-in locks with water. I found one reviewer on Amazon who stated these locks aren't waterproof and stopped working after a few times in the shower. If this happened, I'm guessing device destruction is the only means for removal.

If this was a general issue many people faced, I'd think it would be talked about more. Just wanted to ask the community to see whether the slide-in locks (sorry I can't find a formal name for them) hold up to showers or if I should go straight to an ABUS lock and add-on kit. I sometimes go to the beach as well, but I'd probably just remove it in those cases. I don't think salt water would be good for any type of lock.

I've been using the barrel lock for my Cherry Keeper(s) for many months now. The shower water doesn't seem to impact it at all. No corrosion. I don't think it's a concern--at least I don't even think about it.

It may be helpful to note that there are good ones and cheap ones. Josie Lynn on her site identifies the better ones. Buy a good one designed for furniture.

Thanks, I did notice that there were a bunch of cheap ones that didn't look too promising. I figured the ones for furniture were probably better. Good to know it's not too much of a concern.

I have the cheap HappyGo cylinder lock and have had no issues with it after showers. (Though I'm not too concerned as I can still escape if required).

Ive had the cylinder lock on a cherrykeeper for a couple of years pretty much 247, no issues, just put a small vaseline on the lock from time to time
