Ladbible is not the metro and isn't a newspaper, and nofap isn't about chastity:

There isn't a mention of chastity in the ladbible blog.
The nofap people see male chastity as one of the dumbest things to do. Instead, they focus on no porn, masturbation, and orgasm (PMO) for increasingly long times.

It's interesting to me that a mainstream media outlet would print an article about male abstinence. Even if it isn't about chastity, as such, abstinence may be a gateway into our subculture. Long before I had ever heard about male chastity, I was already practicing abstinence. In any case, orgasm denial is a part of being in chastity, so what you found does still have relevance, here.

At it's most simple, the difference between chastity and orgasm denial is sex: chastity is primarily about not having sex, especially outside of marriage (traditionally speaking); be it with or without the aid of a chastity device (i e. The honour system).
Orgasm denial is exactly what it says on the tin and is often incorporated into a chastity lifestyle, but can be done solo (again, with or without the assistance of a chastity device).
I think personally there IS some overlap here. Obviously nofap had a specific target audience so to speak, but denying orgasms can have some of the same benefits even though done for different reasons and under, sometimes, very different circumstances. Both are about control over one’s male animal urges, whether in a cage or not. Also Chastity can be subjective depending on one’s lifestyle and/or what the couple wants to get out of things.
