How Soon After PA Piercing Should You Wait to be Cage

Hey all! I know I've seen this come up in threads before, but I didnt find it after looking so I dont know if it was specifically about this topic.

For those of you who have PA piercings and wear a cage, how long did you wait during healing before you put your cage back on? I'm not talking necessarily a PA lock cage (though if you have stories about that I would love to hear them), just a non PA pierced cage.

I had better luck with the pa cages after because the loose piercing pinched. Sill can’t wear a non pa device and jewelry or it pinches. I waited about 6 months including going from 8ga to 4ga.

Definitely worth the wait for the security. But I spray everywhere now so I have to sit when caged. Even if there is a urinal, it’s not worth the risk.

As long as it looks healed, I’d say pain will let you know if it’s ready. 2 months minimum but you will need longer for a tube that isn’t supported by a ball ring.

It will probably take 8-10 weeks to be healed. I waited about 12. It will probably be longer until the piercing is 100% healed over. I found that having a PA cage seemed to actually be better than a barbell as it was less likely to get caught on things. Good luck.

Yup, would have pierced earlier if i knew then how easy it actually was. I wore my device after 6 weeks and never looked back. Longest 6 weeks of my life.

@ballbust I know! These days are just dragging on for me. Not to mention after this I should probably stretch it out a bit :/.

I got a cage that I could wear my ring without disturbing the new piercing. It was somewhat longer than I am when flaccid, so the ring wasn’t exposed unless excited. It had vertical bars on the “head” so if I did grow a little, it would just go through the bars instead of bend and pinch. It arrived a week after I got pierced and wore it immediately.

I actually believe it helped with healing, if it wasn’t in cage and in undies the ring would constantly get pushed around, moved to the side, and touched.

If excited, it was a bit dicy with my ring sticking out like that...ouch, but in general I think it was protecting me far more than hurting.

Have it done as deep as you can, and stretch it to 5 gauge or even 4-3-2. The larger the piercing the smaller the problem. Enjoy
