I've designed a new cage, curious on experiences with glans only devices.

I posted this on reddit, but I thought I would also ask it on some of the tried and true message groups.

I've grown tired of the discomfort that comes along with ball trap devices and I'm not sure I want to go the piercing route. I've been working on designing a glans only device. I believe I've come up with a novel improvement that makes them far more secure. I've been working on a few prototypes and there is quite a bit of holding power. I've pulled as hard as I was comfortable pulling and can't get it off when it is locked.

I know there are other products on the market. Before I do more than actually just design one for myself, I was curious what experiences people had with them. What worked and what didn't work? Would anybody be interested in a more secure glans only device? Should I just design my personal cage or should I look into making it available to others?

Please feel free to chime in with any experiences, good or bad you've had. If you wouldn't be interested in a glans only device let me know why not. I really am just trying to decide how much effort I want to put into producing the design. What I have now works fine for me. I haven't been able to remove it without unlocking, but If I were to offer it to a wider audience I would need to put effort into refining the design and lining up manufacturers.

Interesting design. I've been experimenting and so far I've found the weak point is the top of the glans. Other devices are either rigid, or use a rung the pivots. The rigid devices pull of quite easily and the pivoting ring works bettwr but still comes off with a few pounds of pressure.

I've made my ring pivot but I've moved the pivot point. This creates pressure on both the the x and y planes so it essentially squishes the ring down into the shaft and gives more "bite" behind the glans. It also increases the downward force quicker than lateral force. I'm still prototyping, but so far I'm have very positive results. I've pulled with near double the pressure where other devices fail. It's about the limit of where I feel comfortable pulling.

This looks a good work, I have never seen a fully working glans cage without PA ring. If you are able to build this, it will be revolutionary. Keep working and update us

I've been wearing a prototype for 2 days now. I do not believe I can pull it off without unlocking. I have tried multiple times but have always stopped because of the discomfort. I am going to spend more time trying it myself, but so far it has been secure. I've slept in it and had multiple erections without any issues or discomfort.

Assuming all continues to go well, I hope to extend it to a larger audience of testers in March. I need to feel confident in the design and get a few professionally printed. I want to see what it will cost to produce a full set and make sure the quality is good.

I intend to include a full set with multiple sizes of glans rings. The glans ring measurement is a critical point and 1 mm can make a difference. The rings can be changed, so providing rings in multiple sizes allows users to make sure they get the most secure fit.

Based off initial research, I think I can produce on demand and make it worth my while at a price point between 120 and 150 for a full kit including multiple size glans rings. Depending on popularity I could probably have sets mass produced and ship quicker, but they would need to be popular to make that worth the effort.

Very interesting. But when You put the glans ring on, you must be rigid or flaccid ?

The glans ring is it smooth or it has some notches or spike to keep it from slipping away?

on top there is space to insert a 10mm sounding device ?

Everything has to go on while flaccid. You can't get in on while erect.

There are no spikes. The ring is mostly smooth.

No idea on the sounding rode. I have no experience with them.

Nice work. I like the prototypes and the cad skills. The open design is great for cleanliness.

It does seem that with something long and pointy you would be able to work the glans out from the front. Getting back in without unlocking might be a different challenge. I know for my device I have to use a chopstick or similar to work the glans through the device opening when putting it on. You might consider more but smaller openings on the head to minimize the ability to use tools to manipulate the glans for removal and replacement or for using the stocking method for putting back on.

Btw I printed my latest titanium one off of craftcloud and it was pretty affordable. Not sure if you have checked them out yet. I could see that being beautiful in metal after you’re happy with the protos. I bet for a bit more security without adding a piercing, a tether spout or similar could be easily added if one wished. Tube devices are definitely more practical for everyday wear and activities. Looking forward to seeing your final results!

Very interesting if it doesn't come off by accidentally pulling or sports and if it's impossible to put the penis back in without unlocking

Also @beheld does it use a standard Burgwächter lock? It would be great because if you have bought a necklace jewellery key then you can reuse that lock in any device taking the same type of lock

I think the security level is on par with ball trap devices. If you are committed enough you can escape. Putting it back on without the lock would be much harder though. I won't say it's impossible, but it would not be something that you could just pop on and off at will.

With the correct size ring, it is very unlikely to come off without unlocking. I've worn one 24/7 for well over a month and it hasn't come off. That includes trying to pull it off in the shower when everything was soaped up. I never rull anything out. I've had ball trap devices that have failed so anything could happen, but so far the security on par with any other device I've used.

It does use the standard Burgwächter size lock. I bought my wife a very nice discrete key from chastity-shop several years ago, so I made sure it would work with that lock.

That’s an interesting design but I really don’t see how that would stay on without a piercing. I think you’d be able to pull out especially if you were to add some soap or lube around that glans area. Putting it back in without unlocking would be another story. Flaccid penises are pretty much like the arms of an a octopus and can pretty much squeeze in and out of anything.

Looks very promising. While it might be too late (since you did such a wonderful job showing the actual working of your device on your video) you might want to consult with a patent lawyer to determine if an industrial design or utility patent could be obtained. A long time ago … in another life … I had a client who invented quite a few devices associated with … shall we say … the electrification of certain bodily bits. I sent him to a patent lawyer … and guess what … several of his devices got patent protection and he successfully marketed them. (However, that was before the blatant intellectual property theft we now see from China … so how beneficial a patent really is these days is debatable.)

I get the skepticism. It's been the most common comment. It's true that the flaccid penis is pretty malleable. The big mistake most other glans only devices make is that they try to actually use the glans corona to create the tension that keeps the device in place. This works with low pressure, but with anything over about a pound of pressure, the corona collapses in on itself. This design changes where, how and when the pressure is applied. I used a pressure gauge and tested it to north of 4 3/4 pound of pull and it didn't move. I stopped there because any more and I was worried I would cause some damage to myself.

I've worn one of these for over a month essentially 24/7. I was out for basic health checks and over night 2 times. In that course of time I didn't have any escapes. I've tried pulling it off in the shower when it was soaped up. I won't say it is escape proof. Short of a piercing or tether spout, nothing is escape proof. I will say it is as secure as any ball trap device I've used including the custom devices I have. Unlike a ball trap device, if I did manage to get out of The Grip, I would not be able to put it back on without unlocking.

I've just started beta testing it, so I don't have much in feedback, but my only alpha test has been very positive in his comments about comfort and security. This is a quote from their initial review of an alpha device I sent them. Prior to send this user the device, I did not no anything about them. They were recommended to me by another member of a chastity forum.

This thing is secure. Full Stop. I am unwilling to pull any harder than I already have. I've also tried getting out of it by other means other than just brute force but you just really can't get to the retaining ring which is what you need access to in order to free yourself. But unlike most ball trap devices, if you did somehow get out of it, you won't be getting back in...

I've thought about it, but I just assume it will get copied and resold like everything else these days.
