For anyone who is shopping around for a CB-XXXX product or the new "birdlocked" device, they shold check out Keptforher.com. The couple who operate this web based business offer competitive pricing and superior service.

as long as you don't mind pamphlets in the package saying you are going to hell

I have made a purchase from them, and was very satisfied. They keep their Christian evangelism off their main pages, so it isn't in the way, but you can find it if you want. I wish more Christians were as respectful of other people's differing beliefs.

I got a couple of papers about their evangelism in my package.
something I felt inappropriate and unneeded. If I am buying an item from someone I would rather they keep their religion out of it.

wow sub4madam I am sorry you feel so strong about it but for what it is worth I have ordered from them three times and never had anything in my packaging. I am interested do others have actual order experience or was this an isolated case. Truth be told I don't view this as any different then the place who puts the other advertisements in their packages including papers with pornographic material.

I ordered my first device from them and have nothing but positive things to say about them. I do not recall if these type papers were in my packaging or not. All I know is that when I got my package, I was so focused on getting the device that they could have been a dead fish in there and I would have never known.

I am a little perplexed by the focus on this. I ordered from them because the price was good and I had a few questions and they always answered them promptly. Additionally, they have some positive, Christian based links on their website. I would think if this was that big of an issue, you can simply order from somewhere else. I do not see this as a ploy on their part to go to all the trouble to run a website, especially selling a product like this, just to evangelize.

see I don't care for any non related things to be in my orders. You want to send me a catalog of your own merchandise, I'm cool with that. Sending me someone else's crap, not cool.
I don't know if mine was an isolated case or not. But it has made me choose not to order from them again if at all possible.

LOL at the dead fish :fish:

I'm the only one really focusing on it.

that is why I placed my original order as well

it does make sense. I don't believe it to be a ploy with deception as it's intent. They believe (or my interpretation) that chastity is a good christian thing to do, because it supposedlly keeps one from "Dirty" thoughts which will send you to hell.
BTW, FWIW their mailing address is a church.

sub4, well stated reply. I guess freedom and the free market worked out in this case. You have chosen to risk potentially spending a little more by not trading with a business that has some Christian roots, and they made the choice to market in that manner, thereby possibly alienating a potential customer.

I on the other hand chose to rank price and customer service higher in my decision matrix. At the end of the day, it is all good. We all have choices. We are lucky to live in this type society.

They "Kept" my business

Gents, Ladies,

I have purchased a number of items from Kept For Her. They are as fine a mail order company as I have ever seen. Fantastic. They have earned ALL of my chastity business for a long time to .....uh....come. (sorry for that pun)

Perhaps a different tack here, but I wonder how many people would be "outraged" at inclusion of, say, "green" materials? You know, the little symbol that boasts of paper being recycled or something. How is the little "green" label different from a Muslim crescent moon or a Chistrian curcafix? Just about everyone preaches the religion of "green" today, and yet that is somehow OK. While I am not advocating Christianity over any other religion--even the religion of being green--I just can't figure out why Christianity gets so vilified.

Can of worms

My original intention for my post was to recognise Kept for her as the good internet vendors that they are. I agree that sometimes getting some religious literature in your mail along with a product may be a turn-off for some, but as long as thay give good service at a competitive price, they will have my business for a long, long time.

Caged ray I thank you for your original post and I think their service is incredible. You know I given great thought to this post and for some reason just cant get my arms around it. While it could appear differently, even being part of this site as a whole, is against the Christian views. I am a Christian and have lived both sides of this Christianity debate. I grew up in a family where it was shoved down your throat and it turned me off immensely, so I feel for those who have gone through what I call "selective prosecution from the holier than thou" and for all of those out there who have experienced that let me say on behalf of the others who are not that way I am terribly sorry and ask you to forgive all of us on their behalf.

On the other side though the challenges we get drive me crazy. This amazing country was founded on those beliefs that all men are created equal so is it not a discriminating issue both ways?

As an example I was working many years ago in a automotive service center as a service manager. This place performed only tire, suspension, and brake services. Nothing and I mean nothing but oil changes in the engine compartment. A gentleman comes into the center with a fan belt about ready to break on a very hot saturday afternoon. We are three hours and I mean a solid three hours behind on our appointments by this time and it has been the day from hell, for him too I assume. I politely tell him we don't do and are not allowed to perform those type of services and even go so far as try to help him find someone close who could. Out of luck I make a decision to tell him to leave the car with me for a while and I will try to get it in. He leaves and comes back again same scenario. I explain he needs to leave the car so I can work it in as I can not just stop what I am doing. Now on his third return for the day and only minutes before closing I tell him there is no way I will get him today. He screams at the top of his lungs as loud as I have ever heard, "It is because I am black isn't it" It is because I am black you wont do this" Obviously a very young and not very smart kid at this stage of my career I return as loud of a comment, "And it is because I am white that I even have to listen to this crap"

This was a bad situation made even worse by my lack of professionalism that gained me applause from people within the store. This was not the action I intended as I looked at my employee next to me I told him if he ever did that to a customer I would fire him. I followed this guy to the parking lot and made much needed amends and changed his belt myself with a flashlight that he held while I worked.

The reason for this long story is it fits every area of this amazing country we live in. There are those whose views have been formed by whatever circumstances they have dealt with and then are those who have to deal with those views. Christianity, green initiatives, you name it all have two sides. Who are any of us to say who's side is right and who's side is wrong. I practice my faith because I have been fortunate enough to see circumstances that have no other explanation. Others choose not to because they have not seen or worse yet had experiences as I did when younger. While I totally respect all views here especially yours sub4madam I have to wonder when I see these type of situations what is the REAL issue? It has been said already in this thread that we live in an amazing country. A country which has men and women to this day giving their lives to defend it's original foundation. I wont pretend to understand all sides of all issues but I for one cant wait for the day when opposite sides of people views can be met with understanding from both parties. I guess till then that is what makes this a great country here and on a personal note makes this an amazing forum. I am sorry for this long winded post and I mean not to take sides or offend anyone but I just could not get my arms around this one. Even as a customer I hate garbage in my orders, but "looking at both sides" as a business owner I want my clients to know about other products and services associated with my company. I wont pretend to appreciate anyone who operates with a hidden agenda but I have to say "my opinion" is that kept for her does not.

Anyway my two cents where a penny would have done and yet nothing was purchased!

Anyone can say what they want about them, but they sent me free guiding pins for the cb2000 I bought second hand. I like these people. :)

Sorry to reply to such an old thread, but i really wanted to say something.

I purchased my CB2000 from Keptforher. I was trying to convince my Fiance to try chastity. She (as well as me) is a Christian. When we were both originally looking at the site, we did not even realize it was operated by Christians. I agree that them putting in a flyer or whatever is no different than any other company putting flyers in their products (although i didn't get one in mine). I ordered text books on amazon and got adds for buying wine online. Completely unrelated, and I wasn't even 21. All companies do this. Just cause you are not interested in the particular thing they stuffed in, be it a religion, related products, green movement crap, or wine ads, doesn't mean that the customer service, price, or products are any worse. When i upgrade i plan to go through keptforher and it has nothing to do with them being christian and everything to do with the excellent customer service i received when i purchased from them.

Well I have purchased a cb3000 + solid several solid rings + regular birdlock and mini birdlock... They have send anew set of pins for my cb3000...They gone out of the way to be good seller...I will buy from them again in the future

Odd. That's where my CB-6000s & KSD-G3 came from, didn't get anything like that in the package.

That is where I also have bought a couple of the CBs from them. Great and friendly service when my CB3K split. They immediatly sent out a replacment and later I ordered my CB6K and the KSD set then KSDshort. I don't remember getting much religious stuff in the packaging. If I did, it went in the trash bin along with the other unneeded stuff.

Maybe they sent it to me because because I am not christian and I am in Illinois :gotme:
