I had this idea this morning and I think I've decided I want to do it.

Spring break is coming up, my gf and I will be apart for a significant chunk of spring break. I think it will be just over a week. I want to try a longer term lock up. I have only caged for a full day. Other than that I usually self lock at night or when Im home.

While my gf is away for the week, I want to try being locked for the entire time she is out of town. This to me is something that I feel will be exciting and a little scary at the same time. I am interesed in lock ups that are weeks long, and I think this will be a good trial period. I have experience not cumming for as long as a month. This will be my first attempt doing a longer time frame while caged. It's definitely a little bit of a jump from just being in my cage for a day.

My gf currently does control when I am allowed to cum, however doesn't know about my chastity kink. I am debating if it is the right time to tell her and send her with one of the keys if she is interested. And freezing the other one or something like that for the emergency purposes.

Is this a good idea? And is this something I should go through with?

I'm also interested in hearing ideas for things I should do while the week goes on.

I agree with all of the above! There are also chastity key cases that you can find on Amazon and elsewhere. They hold up to two keys and then lock in place with a plastic, numbered padlock. You can carry them with you in case of an emergency, but simply send her a photo everyday with the lock intact and the number visible. I personally favor this method over the ice one, as it would be difficult to get home and defrost a key if I were in an automobile collision or similar event.

I don't know what the relationship is between you. I'm no guidance councillor but I would think that, if you are in a serious relationship, your girlfriend should know you use chastity in any case. In my own experience, if you have a fetish like chastity, it will always be there and you can't hide it for ever. If your GF takes to it it will help your relationship a lot, but "be careful what you wish for"! If not, then I guess you have some talking to do.

As for the question about the spring break, I think you should ask yourself some questions. Firstly, are you sure your device is comfortable enough to wear for a week, bearing in mind what situations you might encounter during the week.

If so, do you trust your girlfriend enough to hold your key.

If you can answer yes to both those then don't miss the chance. I agree with @SubBill1959, you do need to do something better than freezing the keys. You could easily unfreeze the keys, but like SubBill says, not quickly enough to deal with an emergency, so you can still cheat on the chastity but you do not have an effective emergency release either. The simplest solution would be just to have a key in a sealed packet signed by your GF.

Tell her you have an interest in chastity and maybe she could lock you up and take a key so you don't rub one out while she is away. Seal and emergency key in an envelop and have her sign the back for proof you did not open it. When she gets back she can release you for mutual fun or not just so she has fun. She may enjoy both or none and you know when you stand for the future.

This. It's a great opportunity to introduce chastity without her having to do anything. When I started chastity with my gf it was during a time when we could only see each other on weekends so I told her I was self-locking to "save myself" for her and not masturbate or watch porn. It's a rather gentle introduction to the chastity device.
