Question about base ring and blood flow.

Hopefully I do it correctly.


Me and the wife have been playing around very casually with chastity cages for the last few years, but now its getting a bit more serious.
So I'm ordering my first proper custom cage. Because of that there is one thing I want to clearify before placing my order and hopefully someone here could help with answering my question.


I've been using a Bon4Msmall on and off with a 47mm base ring. Overall happy with how the base ring feels. Comfortable and no issues wearing over a few days.
So the question is: When she teased me and I get excited, the blood flow to my balls is limited and they turn blue, deep blue. After I calm down, they go quickly back to normal.

Is that how its supposed to be? Or is the cage not supposed to limit blood flow even when excited?

I think that's too tight. Have you slept in it? You'll have erections during the night that can last quite some time. I'd not want the blood flow restricted while I sleep. At least if you wish to keep your balls.

I've slept with it many times. Doesn't wake me up too much. I mean, once in a while I might wake up for a few minutes because its pressing too much against the cage and ring. Then it probably has restricted blood flow a bit as well, but it passes quickly.

But with a perfectly fitted cage, there should be no color change under any circumstance?

I've never had discoloration. They say measure the diameter of your erect cock and add about 10-12% for the diameter of the ring. But since you already have a ring that almost fits, I'd try to make it bigger by about 2mm.

If you have the means, could you get both? A ring in your current size and one one size up?

I fought with my mm base ring for ever. Technically on paper is was the correct size, but buddy let me tell you I would get worryingly purple. Went one size up and gtg.

Also in my experience, every device wears differently. Weight, ring shape, gap etc.. you really can't be 100% sure of a perfect fit till you get it on.

How have you made her to start liking it more?

I think it was just by not pushing it on her too much. Just every time it randomly came up, we kept going a bit further and she got more confortable with it. Then it turned into her really starting to like the feeling of control it gave her.

Took us about 2 years to get to this point. So my advice would be to let her discover it slowly by herself and be patient. But everyone is different, so no correct answer that fits for everyone.

Went over all my other cages again last night. Tried all the different base rings and spacers to adjust the gap.

Non of them avoided discoloration when I got excited. Went all the way up to a 52mm ring with the largest spacer in place.
The base ring was so loose, that it almost fell off and the gap was so big that I was able to get my balls out without unlocking.

But I still got a bit blue when I got excited. Less then with the smaller rings ofc, but I must be missing something.
Because I cant seem to get to a place where there is no color change at all and the cage still stays on.

I have tried a variety of base ring sizes and shapes. Usually there are two or three sizes that fit, so it's then down to taste.

As someone else on here says, you should be able to fit ONLY a little finger between the bottom of the ring and the base of the scrotum. I big finger, or thumb is too much.

A tighter ring is more secure and feels more connected. But you don't want it to be cutting off circulation. A looser ring is nicer to sleep in, and perhaps healthier, but it also allows the cage to slip down, pop a ball out, or pull out.

For me the best combo is a longer cage and tigher ring. Short cages usually mean you need a bigger ring.

Finally, the thing to be careful of is the 'cock ring' effect. Chastity aside, if you put a tight ring round the base of your genitals, it will hold blood in an erection. This is because it blocks the veins that allow the penis to deflate. You should be careful of doing this too long or too often.

2 mm for me is a HUGE difference. I ordered 2 base rings with our BA-25, one in 44mm and the other 42mm - both curved ergo rings. The 44mm slips on pretty easy and with the PA Anchor it is guaranteed never to fall off. It does slip down in a hot shower and I can get my finger under the shaft - but the piercing keeps the head secured. When I have been able to try the 42mm ring it is ALMOST impossible to get Ralph and Louie through the ring, but once on it keeps everything up close and secure. If I wasn't pierced, 42mm out be needed to prevent Crackers from pulling out during a shower.
Bottom line, for me 2mm is very noticable - never would have imagined that to be the case. And I can get blue balls when uncaged, neither size of my rings seem to affect the coloration.
