BDSM practitioners adopt various identities within the community, often based on the sub-cultures in which they participate and the power-exchange role they use with partners. However, it is unknown how these diverse identities map onto the three main power-exchange roles within BDSM relationships: Dominant, submissive, and switch. The current study aims to use EFA/PCA to determine what factors/components emerge from 100+ identities and how they relate to the D/s/s role paradigm. Eligibility: 18+ adults who practice kink/BDSM. Participants will be asked to provide basic demographic information and answer questions about BDSM/kink involvement, as well as rate several sub-identities on submission and dominance scales. The survey should take about 15 minutes. Participation is completely voluntary, and participants will be entered to win 1 out of 33 $20 gift cards. [Added March 9, 2020]
