Simply sharing my experience with trying to figure out the appropriate size Jail Bird to order, if I actually do.

Ordered MM sizing rings.

Prior to their arrival I tried to eyeball the diameter of my flaccid shaft; 1 1/2 inches.

Created a thin short measurement device out of food box carton, to measure flaccid length of penis. Varies between about 2 1/2 and 3 inches.

Received rings.

Chose what I thought was the appropriate sized base ring (1 3/4), as only one fingertip fit behind. Later discovered I could press one of my testicle out, so dropped down to 1 5/8.

Seems small but can still squeeze a fingertip under. No problems wearing ring; may have had minor abdominal discomfort at first.

For the shaft diameter I found the 1 1/2 ring would have been way too big; so much for eyeballing it. Even the 1 3/8 fit loosely, with visible gaps. The 1 1/4 fits snuggly.

Have been wearing the 1 1/4 and 1 5/8 rings on and off the past couple of days. Went to bed with them on, to see how my body responded.

Woke up with uncomfortable but not painful erection about 1 AM. Took the rings off at some point. Have worn them most of the day. No obvious problems.

The 1 1/4 stays in place on my shift, may be a little too small, but 1 3/8 leaves large gaps.

The length of my flaccid penis with the shaft sizing ring on is about 2 1/4. The ring helps create a better point to measure from, because of attachment of my scrotum; don't need to subtract 1/4 inch.

So my challenges will be my small testicles and scrotum, and perhaps my between sizes shaft.

I trim my pubic hair, but don't shave.

Current job doesn't allow for me to wear it 24/7, so might not have chance for body to adjust to wearing long term.

Penis definitely a grower, so plenty to restrain.

Penis is pencil shaped, though with defined coronal ridge. Considered the KINK3D Cobra, but don't have the appropriate shaped penis for it.

I've discovered that I like wearing the two rings. I put them on when I get home from work, and wear them until I wake up with an erection, then take them off.

The base ring keeps my testicle outside my body. The ring around my shaft doesn't do anything until my body attempts to produce an erection.

This experience makes me even more interested in wearing a cage.

Something that may influence my experience is that the doctor only removed half my foreskin when he circumcised me as an infant. Picture a box that you cut in half corner to corner, diagonally. The top of my penile glans is mostly exposed, but bottom portion of the foreskin extends beyond the glans.

I've had a PA for at least 30 years, but don't know if I could urinate with in.

If you're waking up in pain with the base ring on, it might be too small. I don't really understand the direction about not being able to get a finger under the ring... I can always force a finger under there no matter how small the ring. I wouldn't worry so much about your ball escaping the ring alone because when the cage is attached the gap will be a lot smaller. I personally think chastity sizing should lean much more towards comfort over some concept of inescapable or as tight a fit as possible. Of course, it's not comfortable if your balls are falling out either. I totally get the struggle. I'm also sizing up for a new cage and I'm afraid to pull the trigger because I'm concerned something won't fit just right. Bespoke chastity cages aren't cheap and they make crappy paperweights if you get the size wrong.

I can still fit a fingertip under the base ring, the pain is from the ring around the shaft of my penis. It is acting like an alarm clock, when I have an erection.

I am guessing a cage will cause discomfort or pain too, as it tries to prevent an erection and pushes the shaft back into the body, based on pictures I have seen.

When I get a big erection at night it also wakes me up with discomfort. I'm a grower and my cage will be pulled away from my body, everything gets really tight, and my scrotum can get pulled. However, there is discomfort and then there is pain. If you get pain, you should change your cage in some way.

Wore the two sizing rings yesterday morning while eating out for breakfast and doing laundry, and until I went to bed; I need my sleep when I'm working the next day. It was a cold morning and while sitting at the laundry my scrotum felt a little cold and exposed, since my testicles can't retract inside my body to stay warm. Interesting sensation.

Priced a Jail Bird at MM, and plan to order one as soon as my next paycheck has cleared.

Planning on getting an extra cage ring, to help keep my pens from bulging out.

A little concerned about the 3/8 gap, as my scrotum is definitely high and tight. May have to take hot shower to get the cage on.

Not being able to hold my penis to urinate will be interesting, I normally sit to urinate when at home, so I don't splatter urine everywhere. As a child, a house we lived in had carpet in the bathroom, so learned to sit.

Have the sizing rings on now, but will likely remove them when I go to bed, not sure as I like having them on.

The night of my last entry I kept the sizing rings on when I went to bed. A couple hours later I woke with a partial erection, but did not remove the rings as I had done in the past. Simply waited for it to go away.

I wasn't able to fall back to sleep for 2-3 hours, which is, unfortunately, normal for me.

An hour later, and an hour before I usually get up, I was awoken again with an erection.

The past two nights I have worn the rings until I went to bed, and will do the same tonight.

I 'm not planning to work Saturday, and may wear the rings all night again, depending on how I feel.

Despite being vaccinated, I had Covid at the beginning of December, and a cold has been making its way through people at work, with some likely having one of the new Covid variants.

I had what seemed a mild cold the beginning of the week, which makes not sleeping more taxing.

I put the sizing rings on after work Friday and wore them when I went out for coffee, and continued to wear them when I went to bed.

Woke 3-4 times with partial or full erections, but kept them on until around 4 AM. When I awoke this time it was a full erection and a little painful.

Penis, scrotum, and testicles a little cool, but not cold or blue.

Was able to urinate. Erection subsided sufficiently to remove rings. Inspected everything, only observed slight red line wear base ring rested. This was normal.

Left rings off until 7 AM, when I woke up. I don't normally sleep so late; perhaps the colds and Covid catching up with me, ready for a nap now.

Just ordered Jail Bird from Mature Metal.

1 1/4 Shaft Diameter
1 5/8 Base Ring
2 1/4 Length

Extra cage ring
Abus lock

Seems small, but that appears to be the best option; keeping penis restricted, to minimize erections.

Wore the sizing rings all day Saturday, and to bed. Woke twice with erections; 12 AM and 4 AM. Kept the rings on, until I washed myself and them at 7 AM. Continue to wear rings while doing my usual Sunday activities.

Have lost track of the days, but removed the rings prior to a shower.

Decided to trim pubic hair with beard trimmer, set the guard too close to the blades.

Nicked myself a couple times before I realized it. One location was the base of my penis, on the top, where the base sizing ring rests. I guess I was slightly chafed, and the trimmers blades scratched the slightly raised skin.

No pain, little or no bleeding. Left the ring off for 24 hrs, then only wore it prior to bed, when I didn't have an erection.

Penis mostly back to normal, though skin a little rough where the base ring rests.

Won't wear the base ring at night until fully healed.

I'm hoping wearing the base ring prepares me physically and mentally (subconsciously) for the Jail Bird.

I just ordered it on Saturday, and the website says it will be 6-8 weeks before I see it. I was was very tempted to pay for rush service, but the cage alone is an extravagant expense.

I discovered the sizing rings had more pronounced mold marks than I first thought.

Because of the work I have been doing, my hands may be more calloused and insensitive than I realized. My penis obviously has softer and more sensitive skin.

Any way, filled off the small mold marks on the base ring last night, and wore the rings to bed even though I said I would not.

At present, I enjoy wearing the rings, and even being woken with an uncomfortable erection, a couple times a night.

I am using the MM Sizing Rings in a way not intended, so there is no problem with them, only in the manner I have been using them.

Great idea about the fingernail buffer will have to give it a try to make ring a little larger. Before I spend some serious cash on something more expensive need to nail the sizing down. Wore the rings continuously from Friday evening to Saturday evening. I presume I was woken with partial erections, but don't recall.

The loose feeling didn't last long, as a cold front rolled last night. Everything was contracted and tight this morning.

As you can see my chaffing is at the top side base of my penis, though I am most aware of the tightness at the base of my scrotum, and tightness of testicles and scrotum.

Some scabs formed where the tape chaffed me. May be premature, but have put the rings back on, using different tape to hold them together, as in the cold there is shrinkage.

Will keep a close out for new irritation.

Missed having them on and wasn't well behaved over night.
