Hey all.

Question to keyholders: when you lock someone up do you always give a timeframe initially?

Questions to locked: do you expect a timeframe?

I ask as I've not been given a timeframe and its never been mentioned.

I don't want to ask as:

A) if it was short it may be extended
B) I don't want to pressure my KH
C) don't want to make my KH who isn't a veteran at this feel like I'm trying to top from the bottom

What should do I do?

Hi @HT89 , The thing is do you want a timeframe? , for me not ever being 100% sure when I will get released or be allowed any form of orgasm ruined or full adds to the whole dynamic ,
She is my Mistress and key holder so it is totally up to her, I like the control aspect of this , although my releases do tend to follow a pattern of sorts nothing is set in stone ,
Over time I have learned not to ask as it usually results in a longer wait ,
In your position I would say let her do things in her own time , this will show commitment to her control on your part and she will hopefully feel less pressured ,

I would suggest that you let her determine this.

The whole idea is that she is in control. If she tells you "1 week" then suddenly the calendar is in control instead of her. Of course she could change her mind, but as a new keyholder, she might not feel comfortable messing with you that way.

Encourage communication. Open and honest. “How are you doing in there?” conversations can be fun. But indefinite is best for us. My keyholding wife doesn’t like schedules.

For my first Contender a cage I did a few days. Then a week. But if you’re not breaking into a new device, there’s no reason to set a maximum time limit. A minimum time can be fun too!

Not breaking in this cage no.
We are very open and communicate but didn't want to stir the pot/top from bottom/pressurise etc etc

We use a timeframe. Otherwise, we tend to that caught in the moment and the cage comes off after the first day.

I’d like a time frame. I hate the buildup of anticipation only for crushing disappointment... again and again... (I don’t really get any teasing, it just turns into a platonic relationship :()
I’d rather be told that it’s 10 days, two weeks... a month... then I can be in the right mind set.
If it was to be the following day, then fantasist! :D

Very good points raised there from a locked perspective

I would think one of the advantages of controlling someone else's sexual release is the freedom to choose when (or if) it occurs. A timeline would force the issue. Of course, a keyholder could set a general time and then call it off. To me, it is all up to the keyholder.

I don't have a timeframe, but if I beg my wife long enough she will sometimes allow me to cum, but it's always a ruined orgasm followed by my clean up duty.
