Part Pride Parade, part Fundraiser, part Performance Art, part Pub Crawl... LEATHER WALK is my favorite part of Leather Week. It bookends the week along with its more famous cousin, Folsom Street Fair.

Come join us in a wonderful adventure from the Castro to SOMA and through our collective kink history.

About LeatherWalk:

The 27th annual LeatherWalk takes place on SUNDAY, SEPTEMBER 23rd, 2018. On-site registration and check in begins at 10:00am at 440 Castro. Please check in at the bar, drop off your last-minute donations, and get your LeatherWalk pin. While you're waiting for the action to get started, grab some breakfast at The Cove on Castro, our favorite local diner.

Entertainment starts at 11:30am at Jane Warner Plaza. The walk itself plans to start moving at 12:00pm from the front of Castro Theatre. The walk features Master of Ceremonies BeBe Sweetbriar with performances by some of San Francisco's most amazing vocal and drag talent. Our stops include Oasis (Stop #1), Powerhouse (Stop #2), Mr. S Leather [Stop #3], Lone Star [Stop #4], and the SF Eagle (final stop, closing beer bust).

Folsom Street Events presents LeatherWalk as the official kick-off for San Francisco's Leather Week which culminates one week later at the Folsom Street Fair. We walk together to celebrate leather, kink, family and community — all while raising funds for three great agencies. Each year, hundreds of LeatherWalkers take over Market Street and march from the Castro to SoMa. Our route includes stops at some of San Francisco's favorite watering holes (above), ending with the raising of the Leather Pride Flag at the SF Eagle. Each host venue will showcase some amazing entertainment.

LeatherWalk was founded in 1992 by Art Tomaszewski, former AIDSEmergency Fund Board President, Bare Chest Calendar Man and former Mr. Headquarters Leather. Art was inspired to start an event that would raise visibility, comradery and funds for AEF. In 2001, Sandy 'Mama' Reinhardt, a tireless community fundraiser and founding advisor at BCEF, took over event production of LeatherWalk. Each year, Mama and Mama's Family held LeatherWalk fundraisers across the country.

Today, LeatherWalk raises vital funds for Folsom Street Events and PRC.
