We aren't following the calendar exactly. I have been locked for 15 days without a release even for a grooming. Our timeline is more in keeping with Locktoberfest!

 

I have a similar ring. I ended up super gluing the ring closed and using the Dremel to smooth the edges at the join. Can still get a little bit of a pinch when cold and tight sack but other than that it is comfortable.

 

I had a cage that came with this. Didn't care for it at all. It's relatively thick, which changes the sizing, the latex is both grippy and porous, increasing ring burn, and will absorb body fluids and start to rot and reek in short order.

One of these days I'm going to get around to brazing a ring or two closed, then grind off the nubs of the hinge pin so it's flush and smooth. I like the shape of those rings, but not so much the hinge.

I've also used tape to decrease the effective inner diameter on a larger ring. I'm pretty asymmetrical, so I made a deliberate attampt and overshooting in size then layering first aid tape to snug up, then finishing with teflon for a low froction and nonabsorbant surface. I ended up wanting the larger diameter, and making up the difference in gap between the cage diamter and the ring diameter to keep the fellows from squirting out spontaneously.

 

Strange... Ive had good luck with them... I'm 24/7 with them, and use Baby oil gel each day to eliminate chafing. I think over say 4 or 5 months the baby oil gel deteriorates the tube, and i install a new one.... but Ive never had any 'reeking' or 'absorbing fluids' ... maybe the combination of the baby oil gel and the tube is the trick ?...

Does anybody think about some sort of celebration at the end of Locktober?

What kind of celebration? I guess it all depends on what happens at the end. Do you decided to go into NOvember but still celebrate the end of Loctober? Do a celebration at the end of every long stretch of caging?

What a cool idea! I will bring it up to my KH. a celebration comes with a gift, and we all know the perfect gift for a locked person

 

Maybe the baby oil is helping you out? It's a fact that latex is non sanitzable and will absorb fluids over time, I guess the 4-5 month lifespan you're seeing is the tradeoff.

Either way, the thickness makes it unacceptable for my purposes. You might be better off if you can track down silicone tubing of the same dimensions. It would feel/perform similarly, but is non porous and sanitizable, and shouldn't break down under normal circumstances.

A smaller cage and more time!!!!!

 

This will be my second Locktober. Last year my wife (my KH) and I practiced before the month started. She promptly lost one of the two keys. The remaining key was put on a necklace. Sometimes she wore the necklace and sometimes she kept it in a pocket. She preferred to simply hide the key somewhere in the house though. In the early weeks of practice, she wasn't very good at hiding it. I would usually find it with very little effort. During Loctober 2022, whenever I said anything about my growing needs, she would always say she would give me the key if I wanted it. That wasn't the kind of female-led control relationship I was hoping to try.

This year we practiced during August and September. Every few days she unlocked me so I could self-satisfy my needs. She showed me where she had hid the key. She used places I would never have thought of using. She improved her hiding skills a lot. I got so I never found the key anymore. I looked around the house and realized there were literally hundreds of small places where the key could hide. Eventually I gave up looking. In the moments after I gave up, it hit me that I was genuinely locked and wouldn't be getting out without the cooperation of my KH. Suddenly the cage felt a lot more secured in place.

In the last twenty minutes of September, she stood over me while I was in bed. She rubbed me till I popped. She dropped a towel on me and told me to put the cage back on. That was 9/30/23. This year whenever I mention my growing needs, she either simply ignores me or says "no". She is not the same wishy-washy KH from last year. I am sure I am locked for the month with no access to the key. When November gets here, I can almost hear her saying something like "It doesn't make since to go through all this effort to simply tie your old record. Let's go longer." I won't have a choice other than to go along with her.

 

It's starting to feel very real.

I just started day 7. Normally she would unlock me every few days for cleaning and maybe some unlocked sleeping. If she had left me locked all week then around day 6 or 7 I'd get a cleaning unlock and maybe a bit of uncaged time.

No unlocks, no erections, no cuming, just more housework. A little scary and a little exciting all at the same time.

 

You should thank her for being more strict and go through Locktober together..

 

I've reached day 7, the longest I have gone caged. Days 1-3 were comfortable but I had to remove it on day 4 for an appointment. Put the cage back on days 5 and 6 and couldn't find the comfort again. Really struggled both days. Slept uncaged last night. Cage on again and feeling a lot better today.

 

I suspected abrasion, which I confirmed with an earwak removal camera/remover. Open sore under the joint of the retaining ring, which I hadn't had time to seal, leaving a seam. As expected, I could hold the ring fast with an object, and pull out the back. This allowed me to clean and apply liquid bandage to the injury, then replace the steel ring with a plumbing O ring. I also pushed more skin under the ring, which will interfere with cleaning, but put more robust skin between the injured area and the ring. I did this without unlocking, so I'm counting it.

 

I was locked October 1st and will be released Thanksgiving Day

 

My lockup is more of a locktoberfest celebration this year. We are going for 100 days of lockup. That is not my longest, but this time I will not be unlocked for cleaning by myself, she will unlock me and do the maintenance. I started on September 22nd. Each 25 days, I will get a slightly smaller cage. There will also be a challenge in the middle of my lockup. In NOvember, we will not do any pegging. I immediately get relief when I am stimulated anally. She enjoys pegging and seeing me cum handsfree, but not for that 30 days. I have never gone that long without any relief.

Also, I noticed that on Reddit, the sub thread loctober2023 has close to 2,000 followers. I think chastity is growing in popularity!
