Early December last year i bought this beautiful device from Oxy-shop: I have a black version of a similar device from an other vendor and is very comfortable. My wife/kh likes this design so i thought to surprise her with this Airforce colored device. Wearing it was problematic because there is a lot of play in de locking system and that causing pinching and ballslippage. Delivery was problematic so i had vriendly contact with someone from support before so i decided to contact her. My mail to Oxy-shop: "Elena, Sorry to contact you again but I'm not totally satisfied with the product and i don't wat to leave a bad review before contacting you. The cage came with two rings. The smallest ring is the best fit for me but has a lot of play. So much play that the two pins almost come out. This causes pinching and to big of a gap that lets my bals slip through. The bigger ring doesn't have this play and locks tight but is to big for me. Why is the smaller ring locking this loose? Friendly greetings, Gonzo" She responded quickly asking for a video of the problem. I made a quick video and send it to her. I can't upload teh video here so here two framegrabs: I was baffled by the responce i got: "Hi Gonzo, Thanks for sharing the video with us. Such occurrence is normal in all cages with pin-points. Once worn Cage tube can be "pushed" forward. Since it only pushes forward, it should not pinch. Also, we would like to emphasize few additional things: 1. apply lube 2. be shaved 3. eventually put a layer of silicone tape or tissue in the “pinching” area. As you probably know these kinds of issues need to be notified in the first 48 hours after receiving the order but if you are interested in some other items, we are more than happy to provide 30% off your next order. Looking forward to your response, Elena" Attached to this responce was the next picture of someones private parts: My responce to this mail: "Elena, Thanks for the response. I think your response is to ridiculous to respond to but okay here goes. I have a lot of cages from different vendors in all kind of materials from resin to titanium. None of these cages even the cheap nylon ones have this kind of play. As i mentioned the larger ring that came from you doesn’t have this loose fit. The picture you send is just an example of a low quality product. Never seen a cage do this in the community. The fact that you find this normal tells me enough about product knowledge, the quality and service of oxy-shop. I wil just see this as a loss and warn others in the community about the quality and service of oxy-shop. Very sad because you have beautiful unique products. Sad greetings, Gonzo"
There's news! Today i got the next message: " Hi Gonzo, I have forwarded your email to Jett the owner, he will follow up with you shortly. I m sorry I couldn’t help with this issue, Best regards, Elena" Shortly after i got the next message: "Hi Gonzo, Thanks for sharing your concern and nice to e-meet you here! Yes, I can see you got the first version of this model (probably some older stock). It has been updated a few times since then and we have fixed those issues. Would you like a new unit arranged to you? With the small ring. All the best, Jett" My responce: "Jett, Thanks for your responce. That would be realy nice, thank you. Cheers, Gonzo" I'm a bit hopeful. I'll update when received.
Update: I received a new set and it was the same model. It is a bit les loose but still not very good. I emailed Jett to let him know and to thank him for trying. He answered that he would refund me and he did. That was a weird twist. Surprisingly good service at the end.
I have bought a few things from oxy-shop, including the steel guardian, this kind of play is even in these versions. I have thought about using a sealant in the spot behind the tab that goes into the base ring. it might get rid of the play, but it will also make the gap larger. They don't really seem to pay much attention to the gap, so it already is too large.
