My first cage was a transparent plastic chastity cage purchased above Lockink.
Pros:
1. it was easy to get into and didn't require pulling the testicles inside the ring, just wrapping the ring around the testicles.
2. it's very light and breathable, doesn't really feel uncomfortable and bends at a more flattering angle to the penis.
3. Embedded lock, no need to worry about the lock and cage collision, to avoid embarrassing situations.
Disadvantages:
1. the lock can be a little loose and look like it could easily escape, but that didn't actually happen.
2. it can be hard to get an erection at night

Was definitely a good one just to start with, was comfortable and breathable. Had to tape the padlock so it didn’t bounce around and make too much noise.

It wasn’t made out of the most sturdy stuff however and after wearing it continuously over a few days it started to come apart. As you can see it was like the cheapest cage on the site though so can’t really complain and it did the job of just giving me an idea as to what it was like being in chastity and whether this was something I wanted to continue to pursue.

Having looked at the cb2000 and the curve devices for a few years I took the plunge to buy the cb3000 as soon as it came out , they were pretty much the only mass produced cages available in the early 2000's .

I loved it , at last a real chastity device after a couple of years wanting one . Sadly I'd get foreskin edema within 24 hrs and not knowing what it was I would panic and take it off . I might occasionally get a few days wear out of it but god did it start to smell.

when flaccid I would shrink out of it . I tried all combinations of rings & spacers, points of intrigue, the ksd attachment but nothing worked.

as a device it just wasn't suitable for me at the age of 30 , I was always horny and hard & often it was just bloody painful .

it did however prove to me chastity was something I wanted and so started my 20 + year search for a cage that I could wear indefinitely.

Back then chastity was just a kink that needed tickling . It is now very different, it has become a part of me and how I live daily .

Chastity is now deeply meaningful and has enhanced my marriage, sex is less frequent but it means so much more and each orgasm shakes me to my core and makes me feel more in love than ever .

I now have a PA and am looking forward to a PA cage . I still have fond memories of the cb3000 though as it started a journey that has lasted 25 yrs so far and will hoo last many more .

My first cage was a CB2000 in pink. Not many cages back then. The 2000 had several pieces to get it locked on. It gave me an odd looking bulge. My wife then loved it was pink. Sort of fit the "new me"

Pretty sure those are not around any more

What my first cage was like?

Huge! It was a Curve, 9.5cm long.
Looking back, I have no idea how I managed to get it inside my jeans.
In the end I hacked it to less than half it's original length, it was then much more comfortable. Photo in my profile.
 
First was a cheap Amazon silicone copy of a CB6000. It was way too big and basically didn’t work at all. But it started my adventure
 
Being a naive, inexperienced keyholder I thought all devices were basically the same. I purchased a Birdcage as PK's first cage. Boy, what a mistake and waste of money that was. Way to big and heavy that it almost fell of his penis on its own. Didn't take me long to educate myself about measurements, size and fit. The second device was much better, but still needed adjustments and modifications, that a friend's husband was able to help me with.

It was a CB-3/6000. Back then, there were no knock-offs and the only other option was Bon-4 or a very new Steelworxx.de
 
That’s going back a long way. When I first became aware of chastity belts I had a go at making one. The very first one was made of steel strip and bar. I do mean cheap hot rolled steel, not stainless. The cage was a full cover design made of ¼ inch steel bar. It was a wonderfully medieval. Unfortunately that did not work at all. It was more successful when I replaced the cup with one made of fibreglass fastened to the steel frame. It was painted black and the belt was lined with leather. It was totally rigid with a fixed crotch bar. It was all welded together with a stick welder. There was a crude hasp and staple lock with a nice big padlock. There was no tube in the cup and no holes near the bottom. There were holes in opposite sides of the cup near the top, just large enough for my little finger. To urinate I had to insert my finger in one side and get the tip of my penis to align with the opposite hole. I could only do this if totally flaccid. I was slimmer in those days and it was surprisingly comfortable. Its big weakness was that I could get to orgasm in it quite easily. I gave up chastity for a while when I discovered that. Of course, I could not forget it and started experimenting with another belt. I tried a few experiments with ball trap devices but I found they caused all sorts of pains. Then I found I had a hernia. I doubt the cage caused it, but I have not liked them ever since. My current full belt design does not have quite the medieval appearance, but it is more secure and she can keep me locked up for a week or more at a time.

It was a chastity cuff which I have somewhere. It is a single handcuff with a tube welded to it. I actually modified it a bit by making a stainless piece which acted as a ball separator and the other end went into the end of the tube which kept the head from getting out the end
 
It was some cheap metal cage that was too long and too thin. It took me forever to squeeze into it. It didn’t last very long as when my wife tried her vibrator on it to see what it would feel like it ended up pinching some of the protruding skin against the metal causing a small cut. A bleeding penis isn’t much of a turn on.
 
Mine was the Bon4M-small; there are pictures of me in it in my first album. I don't use it anymore, it's too big for me now, and heavy too.
 
My first device was more of a self made torture device than a chastity device made from PVC piping and fittings. Then a long came cb-2000, so much better but room for improvement. Next up jailbird, way too big and uncomfortable. Then the cb-6000 and 6000 small. Pretty good devices until they split... ouch. Finally a knockoff jailbird, which is a bit heavy but a good device and also a pink holy trainer nano v4. Mrs likes the pink HT and the knockoff jailbird both which I wear most of the time. The others are like museum pieces, lol Still there is always the hunt for the perfect Chastity device, only now it's more by my Wife than me. So the journey continues

My first few chastity cages were home-made, using plastic tubing. The first one I bought (all the way from the US of A) wasn't much different: amateurish, but better made.
My first proper chastity cage was a CB2000 and although I loved the look of it, it wasn't very comfortable because of the main ring.
 
I made one out of irrigation connections to try out the wife's reaction. She laughed and said WTF is that.
10 years later I got a CB6000s copy that broke and required extensive modifications to repair and expand the base ring size. Then I bought my current cage SS Fun Zone

Poly pipe for plumbing. Bits screw together incredibly bulky drilled a hole and padlocked it to a stretchy rubber base ring. Could be removed easily and made me look like I was packing a massive cock inside my jeans.
I then made one out of a straight piece of poly pipe whereby I could pull me head out the front and rub out an orgasm. I will see if I have them around and upload some pictures

Birdcage was our first too. It was a waste of money. I was so annoyed. Simultaneously it was too loose in some ways and yet way too constricting in others.
